[Game] Kings @ Lakers, 11/24/13

Gonna be completely honest

If MT23 started and played like Ben tonight, everyone would be calling for his head

Yeah. And the difference is that Ben McLemore is a ROOK, not a veteran making way too much money for way too little effort.

Ben does it again... Quietly gaining confidence every step of the way. THAT'S WHAT IS IMPORTANT right now, regardless of the score or the outcome. We're building a future with Ben McLemore.

By far for me the worst performance of the season, we need a PG who can both breakdown the D off the dribble and pass while being solid on D, the overall effort was just bad really bad, disapointed big time with this one.

Name a team that couldn't benefit from that.

Some of you astound me. You obviously think all NBA players are capable of playing perfect ball on both ends of the court for 48 minutes every single game.

A successful team isn't the one with all the best individual players. It's the one whose players blend together and cover each other's weaknesses and complement their strengths. The only perfect teams are in video games...

We need an interior presence with our second unit. Travis Outlaw and PPat are not going to outrebound legit 7 footers, and that bench lineup doesn't get us any points in the paint at all. Everything becomes jumpshot oriented, which is not a strategy I am particularly fond of. The team lacks size and athleticism overall.

Lakers just realized all they have to do is guard DeMarcus and it's an easy win. going to be a very frustrating year for that young man.

Yeah, I don't know how the Lakers win with the scrubs they have
Ball movement, effort and solid outside shooting, they got plenty of spacing for Pau and Steve Blake is breaking down defenses and passing like he's back in Maryland and you got boards with Hill crashing the glass non stop.

we got spanked by a group of journeymen :(

I sometimes don't understand posts like these. Yes, the Lakers are a collection of journeymen, but guess what? They play hard and they're the ones sitting at .500 while we would be terrible if not for two consecutive wins against the Phoenix Suns. At what point do you start giving other players the respect they deserve? Last I checked our group of guys haven't exactly won multiple championships themselves. Give credit where credit is due.

Bottomline is these guys are NBA players going at each other. It doesn't matter how "scrubby" you may think they are. The Spurs have thrown their bench lineup without the big 3 against Miami's normal team and played better than our normal roster at its prime. If you actually followed other teams you'd realize that they aren't all as good or bad as you think they are.

true but that is kind of skewed by the fact that he made like his first 6 or 7 shots. in the 2nd half he was just chucking garbage contested shots (besides the open 3 off the pass from Cuz)

I guess we definitely watched different games. And, from what Malone said post-game, he must have watched the one I watched.
