Kings / Knicks Trade Idea

I've heard Thomas is shopping Frye this offseason.

Artest
for
Frye and Jerome Williams (or Kelvin Cato, both expiring contracts)

Unfrortunately the Knicks waived Jerome Williams in the amnesty thing, and they can't trade Cato because his contract expires this offeseason.

And I'm actually not all that excited about Frye, so I'd be more interested in some sort of three way trade that lands us someone else. Of course, you have to either take on one of the Knicks' junk contracts or convince someone else to do so. Not likely, really.

Oh OK, thanks.

Frye is a softy. Agree he would be a likely result of a Knicks trade, unfortunately along with a Jared Jeffries, Quntin Richardson, Malik Rose, Jerome James or other ugly long term junk contract. Guess there is also Nate Robinson as a backup PG, but that guy is really an *******. Liked his "competitiveness" and athleticism coming out of college, but he's been a yippy Jack Russel cancer since arriving in the NBA. His own teammates don't like him, or trust him.

But here, I'd be down with taking back the bad contract of Jeffires for instance we did this:

Ron Artest: $7.8mil to Knicks

Jared Jeffries $5.6mil to Kings
#23 pick to Kings
Channing Frye $2.5mi to third team (Nets at #17, 76ers at #21? Rockets at #26?)

Thrid team first round pick to Kings

Thus netting us Jeffries (6'10" and "versatile") and two #1s in the 20s.

(course not sure the Sixers/nets/Knicks will help each other -- jsut looking for teams in need of a young PF, even if soft)
