Welcome, fellow Kings fans.

The dust has settled a little bit, the emotions are back in check (as much as my love for this team and the players is ever in check ;) ) and we're entertaining the Jazz in Arco tonight.

I have my purple slippers and my lucky socks and my Kings "trekkie" long-sleeve t-shirt. (Why do they call it a "trekkie" shirt, BTW??????) I'm going to save the coffee until right before game time. For some reason, drinking 24 cups of coffee a day seems to be having an effect on my ability to sleep at night. I love this board and I enjoy playing Texas Hold Em poker but it's getting ridiculous. My wood stove is consuming way too many pieces of wood.

As always, I'll be doing the PBP and trying to give you a feel for the game from my viewpoint, which as you all know by now is hopefully and unequivocally homer. I don't care. I LOVE THIS TEAM! If you want to have an ongoing discussion of the game, please use the game thread piksi has started. OR you can check in with the CHAT group. They're at mIRC. The server is irc.bludgeon.org and the channel is #Kingsfans.

In case any of you are wondering about the snow around here, I still have 4 to 5 feet on the ground in places, with 3 feet being the average. It's cold. It's very cold. And wet... But I chose to live here BECAUSE of the snow, so I'm not complaining.

Bibby is a game-time decision. Webber will most likely start. There is no indication that Mobley will play.
 
No, they said he was expected to debut. That was highly speculative and was based on the assumption that Doug would have had to take his physical by today. The time for the physical AND the time for Doug to report to Orlando was extended, so until such time as Doug passes his physical which may well be tomorrow morning, Cuttino and Bradley cannot play for the Kings.

You said no indication, but there is just a little. (espn, nba, etc.)
 
Heuge, we know, its even on the Salt Lake Tribune, however, its a game-time decision. Best thing is to listen to the Grant Show right now, they might have news.
 
I'll try to explain one more time...

At the time those posts were made on the national boards, it was not clear about Doug receiving an extension of time to report. Hence they made an assumption that Mobley would be able to play tongiht, hence the "EXPECTED to play." However, it was later reported that Doug has until TOMORROW to take his physical, not today. Since Mobley cannot play until Doug has passed his physical, it is likely that he (Mobley) will not play tonight.

There is a big difference between "expected to play" and "will play."

Regardless, we'll know before too much longer but I have not heard that Doug took his physical yet, let alone that the Magic have obtained any results and made them public.

Update (or lack thereof): Kingsgirl4 said she'd call me if Grant said anything positive about Mobley playing tonight and she hasn't called...

And nothing has been said on NBA-TV or ESPN. It's the great void of valuable information out there, unless you're interested in knowing that Chris Kamen listed "singing" as a hobby on his PR sheet and just revealed on NBA-TV that he made it up because they were pestering him to finish the sheet and turn it back in.

Webber will play tonight, according to News10. Bibby is still being called a "game-time decision." No mention of Mobley or Bradley, which leads me to believe they aren't going to be able to play.

They just showed a closeup of Kingsgurl and 1kingzfan, then the camera panned down and did a CLOSE-UP shot of the Special K box!!!!!

They just interviewed Kingsgurl and asked her about the picture.

She said, "It was created by rhuber of kingsfans.com He deserves all the credit. I'm graphically challenged. I just brought it in."

Then, they showed a close-up of the picture again and it's been autographed.

rhuber - On a totally unrelated note, you need to send Kingsgurl a PM with your mailing address in it! :D

Koz asked KG how the nickname came about and she told him we had started with Flash, but then Shaq stole that one for Dwayne Wade so we settled on Special K, which is what Kevin actually likes. Koz said, "So this is the one Kevin likes?" KG said, "Yes." Koz said, "Then Special K it is!!!"

Bibby will not play. Mobley cannot play because Doug has not yet taken his physical. Eddie House is starting for Bibby. Webber is playing.

Around how far into the pregame show was Kingsgurl on? I would like to watch it later when they replay the pregame show and game. THanks.

Kingsgurl, you are dynamite, girl. Way to get rhuber's creation on television, and more importantly.......if that doesn't make Kevin's nickname official...nothing will. :D
