piksi

Hall of Famer
On March 25th almost every year - Kings mostly sucked. Since 1985 the record on this day is 2-8. Both wins were so long ago that one would have to go to the museum to find records. Kings won against Blazers twice. In 1986 it was 116 - 99 and in 1989 it was 106-105. Both games were at home. Since then we lost 7 straight and twice to the Lakers. I would say that it is just about damn time to change that. Let's go Kings.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings 34-34 after losing a big game in LA. We droped to 8th spot and our competition doesn't really seem interested to take that spot away from us. We still have that 14 games winning streak at home going on but we did drop 3 out of last 4 and lost the 7th spot. These days we seam to gain most when we are not playing. Hopefully it continues tonight. At least we don't have to worry about the 6th spot anymore.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet again Kings pathetically failed another big test. Another loss by the bitter rival for the PO spots and in general was not surprising but it sure was disappointnig. Kings lacked intensity, leadership, intelligent play, execution down the strech, a point guard, a defensive presence inside and finally "balls." We got abused physically and did not fight back. Refs sucked but if You expected anything else - You should stop doing drugs simply because they are not good for You.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The worst part of all is the fact that the Lakers suck. We played horrible and were still in the game. Lakers had everything going for them and still couldn't put us away. They really tried hard to give us the game but we were too "proud" to take charity. Only thing that sucks more than Lakers are their fans. Until the end of the game the Stapels was so quiet - I have seen a better atmosphere at the funeral. Pathetic.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We wanted to see how Kings will deal with pressure on winning a big game on the road. The answer was very clear. Now we will have a chance for another attempt in Utah. Also we will see how Kings will bounce back after such a bad loss - not just mentally but also physically considering the beating that we had to take. It is another big game and a win would reduced number of competition from 4 to 3. A loss would bring Jazz back into mix again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings have become a "selfish" team especially down the strech. Obviously "princtone" is inadequate with the personel that we have but since when is passing to an open teammate prohibited ? There seems to be no trust. It doesn't work a lot and it makes us very predictable. Last couple games the turnover/assist ratio was around 1 or even less. It is even unacceptable for a high school team. Too much one on one, too much forcing, zero creativity. Very ugly to watch and not very successful either. Not sure how to fix it but something needs to be done quickly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, TDM award goes to Kwarme "Abdul" Brown.21 pts on 75 % shooting, 12 rebounds ( 6 offensive), 3 assists a block a stael and a turnover. Nice to see that Kings care about job security of other NBA players. When kwarme is up for a new contract - this is the game that he will advertize himself with. On the other hand Kings should consider a show in Vegas. Not even David Coperfield or Sigfried and Roy could make Kwarme look better. In fact even an optical illusion is not enough. it takes more than that. It takes - Kings interior defense.
LW-VC award goes to Mike Bibby. He was sensational. Great start and then a very consistant effort. not even an injury could stop him. 3-12 from the field for 10 pts (his previous average against LA - way over 30 pts). He had a rebound, 5 assists to go with 4 turnovers. He even managed to make Sasha Vujacic look like he belongs to the NBA. Thanks for sucking Mike. Perfect timing:rolleyes:. Worst of all - even that bad he is still better than jason Hart.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every loss to Lakers hurts. Especially, to a Lakers team that hasn't been worse in a decade or so. It would be easier if we could say - they played better and outplayed us. We never had a chance and let's move on. Can't say that. They did want it more and they played harder but it is not like they outexecuted us down the strech or anything. A good team blows us by 30+ pts. We were down 5 late in the game and for three straight possesions we shot a three and we were still only down by 7. They were giving it tu us but we wouldn't accept it. Just dumb.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz are next and first thing that comes to ming is that 0-20 quarted that cost us the game earlier this season. We win - we take care of Jazz. They are solid team that is capable of playing well but it is inconsistant and has no shooting.. we have to show up for all 4 quarters. Matchup - Artest - Kirilenko should be fun. Which Kings team will show up ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - it can only get better. Hopefully he is healthy enough to go. We need him to play well and Mike has bounced back many times and he will again.
Ron - 3 turnovers shy of a tripple double. He really tried but it is a team sport and noone can do it alone. maybe we should try different kind of pills. I mean same pills but different color. He won't know the difference.
Bonzi - played really hard and while doing that missed several layups.
SAR - his numbers look decent but he was the part of the interior defense that made Kwarme look like Shaq II.
Brad - Kwarme is Your dady. Numbers also solid but meaningless. Where was the pride ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
KT - well done.6 pts, 8 rebounds and 8 assists shy of another triple double. Vitaly did more in 3 minutes.
Kevin - did nothing in the 10 minutes that he played but at this moment it is more important that he is not badly hurt because we cant replace anybody really.
Cisco - played 14 minutes and managed to blend in well. His usual energy was missing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The rest wouldn't have played worse - nah - who an I kidding?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - the team was well prepared especially mentally. I have seen a dead horse with more enthusiasm.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz play the way they have been playing for 20 years. They are just not as talented. it will be very physicall and we won't gwt any calls. We need to expect that. Looks like Milt won't get a chance to sweep TDM for the season. This time I will go with bevin Brown. LW - VC award will hopefulle be dominated by a Jazz player tonight. Jarron Collins is my favorite. Does anyone have any doubts about Okur and Boozer having a field day tomorrow night.

we need this win!
BTW I just beat the Jazz in Nba Live 06 on XBOX 360 on superstar w/ 8 min quarters. I won 156-83 thats right 156-83. Bibby has 45pts 6reb 15ast 12stl man hope he can do that tommorrow

Great job piksi as always
I'm really hoping the sad performance from Wednesday will fire them up to play well and win. We can't play that badly again:( (I hope)

We have some banged up people. Word is three starters didn't practice today. Let's hope they were just sitting out as a precaution...

I would assume Bibby, Martin, Artest were the starters that sat out of practice. We NEED all of them, so I hope that you are right about it being just as a precaution, VF.

I think we could and SHOULD win Saturday, but it will not be easy.

Actually, it was Bibby, Martin, and Thomas who sat out. Bibby and Martin both have bruised legs, and Thomas has a sore shoulder.

I absolutly hate it when people use the phrase "must win game" But the Kings really can not affort to loose this one.

I would like to see Shareef start again. He was averaging 16 pts a game before the jaw injury. i know his rebounding was down a bit but he also didn't get the benefit of starting with the new kings. he averaged almost 7 boards a game. Bonzi got alot of rebounds that reef would have just because he was there. KT is getting them all now because Bonzi is coming off the bench now. I just think Reef gives a 2 dimensional game on offense and we need another option with Miller struggling. KT can only get the junk and hit a jumper. I loved watching Shareef spin on ppl. I garuntee his boards would go up if starting in this new lineup.

Hey......................how did Playmaker0017 get back on the board???? ;) I thought he'd been banned.

haha no seriously KT is looking sluggish to me and not involved in the offense much. I would just like another option and if we are getting killed on the boards then but KT in and maybe that will light a fire under Shareef to rebound a little

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Shareef start either. I was all for keeping KT as a starter when the team seemed to really be clicking and we were winning, but it might be time to mix things up.

Does anyone know if our injured guys are going to play? If we lose 3 starters, it's going to be rough but we should be used to it. I was just thinking the other day we have no owies, it's a miracle! Now I jinxed them:mad:

I think that Martin is listed as questionable. The others are probable.

i think bonzis performance will be very interesting tonight...his first time starting in a while..he lost his starting spot because of injury...lets see if he tries to earn it back because of martin's injury
