Kings Hustle Stats-update (not too bad actually)

As a closet stats freak, its fascinating that those cold stat numbers reveal a bit more about the Kings than we all think we are seeing or hearing from others. For fun I have two categories: hustle and offensive

The hustle stats are rebounds, steals, assists and turnovers
My offensive stats are scoring, free throws, FG%, opponent FG% and 3pts

On Dec 4 the Kings were 11-5. Hustle wise they were #1 in least turnovers and #2 in assists but near the bottom of the league in rebounds and steals.

Offensively they were #1 in FT, 3rd in scoring, 10th in FG% and 21st in 3pt shooting

They are now 15-6. Hustle improvements have been in:
rebounds up to 11 from 17th :D
assists and turnovers 1st but steals still down at 20th :(

Offensively, everything stayed about the same except 3pt shooting which improved to 15th from 21st

Whats it all mean? rebounding and assists are up a bit, scoring is holding and their 3pt shooting is improving. But on the down side, 87% of the scoring is the starting 5 plus BJax, and he is only 11.8 ppg. The bench is not contributing overall and 4 of the starters are averaging more than 36 min/game.

So I'm still worried. No real bench support. And 3 flat footed big guys. Panic? no. Worried? a bit. 5 more at home then we'll see.

Closet stats? Is that like metal hangers compared to plastic? Shelf space as opposed to floor space???

;)

Why worry? It's only December. You have to walk before you can run and crawl before you can walk. It's too early for worry or panic. Right now, we're still at the puzzled or concerned stage. No more.

:D

Yep, your right. But 5 straight home games pretty much takes us through December. If we win like the Kings are supposed to with a blow out or two, then progress. If we go to overtime or lose a game. Then puzzled and concerned gets capitalized.
