Having Cauley-Stein in the lineup gives us the ability to match up with virtually any starting lineup in the league. It's a good thing when you're starting lineup has that versatility. Like I implied already, it's good for match-ups, but it also means you can stick with the same starting lineup every game and build some chemistry (something Karl needs to get on-board with).
By including Cauley-Stein in our starting lineup, we immediately have two rim protectors on the floor, but unlike most teams who have this luxury, our 2nd rim protector is never a liability on the defensive end because he can literally guard any position effectively. For instance, if you're playing the Clippers, Cauley-Stein gives us a second rim protector and the ability to effectively guard Griffin. If you're playing the Pacers, Cauley-Stein gives us a second rim protector and the ability to effectively guard George.
His defensive ability allows us to build a consistent rotation that never starts off with a defensive liability. He should be in the starting lineup every night.
