Kings History Hall Of Fame

G-League
The other day, I was thinking about the possibility of doing a "Hall of Fame" with the best players of the history of the franchise.
For example, this "Hall of Fame" would be a group with the best 50 players who had played for the actual Kings (also Rochester, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Omaha...)
My idea is put in a column of my blog (http://matenja.blogspot.com) these 50 players with the objetive of show spanish people the best "kings".

*Kings "Hall of Fame":

1- Chris Webber
2- Vlade Divac
3- Mike Bibby
4- Peja Stojakovic
5- Doug Christie
6 -Mitch Richmond
7- Reggie Theus
8- Oscar Robertson
9- Nate Archibald

I have said for 2 years now, when it is all said and done, if Kmart keeps improving. He will be the best King in Sacramento Era. Keep in mind Cwebb is my all time favorite King.

I hope Kevin worksout with Doug. I dont know if David Thorpe has any say in that but.

I don't see him ever attaining that status - if for no other reason than he really isn't the leader that Webb was. Chris also had a fantastic all-around game, Kevin doesn't (and I know you addressed this re: Doug, but that still won't help with the rebounds, etc.)

Couldn't agree more. Kevin is what he is: a good scorer/shooter. He's nothing spectacular, but a good cog to have on a team. A poor man's Dale Ellis.

I never really got a chance to see Oscar play (I wasn't even born during that time). But from what I heard and seen (stats, highlights ect.) Oscar is one of the best players to play the game. dosen't that warrant him a spot higher then a eight??

Agreed. I know its impossible to compare eras but he's usually the guy that gets the most play in the GOAT arguments not named Jordan. Obviously there's a disconnect between Oscar and Sacramento era fans but he needs to be #1 on any list purporting to be the all time franchise list.

I didn't get an impression that the numbers were an actual ranking, just more of a list. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

Maurice Stokes? All star every year of his (short) career...rookie of the year...

A different era, but he was clearly an impact guy back then (and is in the NBA hall of fame).

Hey, if you're going all the way back to Oscar Robertson days, then why not include Bob Cousy, who played a couple games as a player-coach in Cincinnati to boost attendance.

I have a great appreciation for Oscar Robertson, but he has no connection to the Sacramento Kings or the current organization. Unless I'm mistaken, he was never a "Kings". There is a disconnect, but a legitimate disconnect.

To me the "Kings" are Mitch Richmond (everything before that was forgettable), who wanted a trade, and eventually ended up getting a ring with our hated southern rival, and the Webber era.

Our history is just tragic.

The point of the OP was to draw from the entire pool of players from the beginning of the franchise in Rochester through today.

And his pal, Jack Twyman. Both jerseys hanging in the rafters at Arco.
