No, you didn't. But there's a pretty fine line between "I told you so" and "See, he's a bust". Not many people are willing to whip out that "See, he's a solid backup, I told you so"!

I don't think it's that fine of a line. My main argument against drafting Hawes was that he'd most likely be a solid backup and potentially a liability on a playoff team. Whether that's a good use of a #10 pick or not is open to interpretation. (Though it's probably pretty clear what my opinion is on that) But as long as we're a lottery team with "potential" I suppose he's as good as the next guy. There's a lot of gray area between "bust" and "All-Star center".
