kings played exceptional in the loss to the 2nd highest scoring team in the league. with artest & bibby sharing the "shooting title" and with no help from that dark hole we call the power forward postion the kings drop to 23-26 while still hangin on to the 11th spot in the west. and that 11th seed is ours to hold onto and conquer because the competition above us simply will not lose. the rockets went from 18-20 to 30-20. *quote* Mark Jackson "the kings are playing better since they got healthy, watch out for them because with a lucky (i.e, an all star on another team misses a couple games due to injury) break the kings can squeak into the playoffs".. that would require us winning games consistantly

warriors are a very talented team, no shame in losing to them. heck, we played them pretty closely. very talented players. ellis, davis, barnes (why did we let him go). monte ellis went bananas scoring 34 points and grabbing 9 rebounds saturday. potentially adding to the list of players on mediocre teams that "own the kings". ellis may now share the title with chris kaman, baron davis, and lebron james.

kings just cant get a break. if it werent for games the kings have choked away in the final 2 minutes we would be looking at a record of 4 or 5 games above .500. 27-22 perhaps. so ever since the team became completely healthy they've been playing .500 ball and have beaten some impressive teams like the jazz and mavericks and hornets. getting later into the season i am glad that all of the injuries out of the way. and we can no longer use that crap as an excuse of why we "lost games down the stretch of the season". -----------------------------------------------------------------------

AWARD TIME

Monte Ellis. who else?

SAR - Methuselah award went to Mikki moore. 1-2 in 21 minutes. that stat is abysmal.

WTF moment of the game - ron artests' last 2 shots

i cannot stand the suckiness. when are we going to contend again.

the grizzlies are next and they are the worst team in the league. there's 1 other team with a worse record, but you get the point. no dicipline, no team, no heart, no clue. theyve sucked from there days of being swept out of the playoffs and they suck now. no indication that it will change anytime soon. a decent opportunity for sacramento to go 24-26 if we dont allow artest to lose the game for us. the grizz suck in every category except for ppg. which they're ranked #9, but their defense is at the bottom of the hamper with the dirtiest of the dirty
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bibby - keep scoring
Kevin - quit being shy. you're the best FT shooter on the team
Ron - "the better he plays - the sooner he is gone" Piksi
Mikki - "allstar" piksi ;)
Brad - keep up the rebounds
bench - good enough
Coach T - please use another power forward.

grizzlies are out of the playoff picture and it has been that way since the opening tip in October. with no pau gasol Miller should have an awesome rebounding night. kings win

We need Kmart to step up this game last game was a disgrace for him
2 out of the last 3 games have been a disgrace for him...but, if this pattern holds true during this 'slump', he'll have a decent game tonight...then a bad game, then a good game...hopefully it doesnt last too much longer, though.

At least Martin doesn't roll on the floor, thrashing like a fish on a hook, pound his chest and other theatrics. I'd much rather live through a "slump" than whatever it is Ron Artest thinks is "fun."

i need martin to be a little more aggressive. not fall back into the shadows when someone else is shooting a little bit more. he's been playin like crap. ya see guys, its just not bibby, artest, etc that's tradeable:cool:. no one is immune

? where did this come from

bibby and artest both got 21 shots each. artest doesnt need to take more shots than martin
And bibby does? Everyonce keeps talking about Ron, Bibby is the one that freaking sucks lately.
Maybe if martin would stop playing like a timid child sometimes, players wouldnt shoot as much. He needs to start attacking the basket with the intent to FINISH.

When Monta Ellis goes to the basket he doesnt go hoping for a foul call, he goes there to score.
And sometimes i feel that martin just hopes for a foul call and it ticks me off.

I dont think what artest did was great but it shouldnt bother you that much, my god. Has Artest really ticked you off that much in his time here?

You mean I haven't made myself clear?

;)

IMHO Artest's antics are becoming less understandable, more disruptive and simply not in the best interests of the team.

I feel sorry for him because I think he has a good heart, a warrior's mentality and he truly WANTS to do the right thing. I just believe that the wiring that would tell him what the right thing is doesn't always connect properly.

If we were able to step back in time and put him on "THE TEAM" instead of Peja, I'd probably have fewer objections but we cannot do that. For this team at this point in time, the Ron Artest we have simply isn't going to do us (or him, for that matter) much good.

He wants to be on a team that's better than .500; he wants to go to the playoffs; he wants to be paid $13 to $14 million for his efforts. None of those are likely to happen here...

And there's still that annoying ticking.

i know artest throws fits. i was asking VF21 why the statement was made and what that had to do with martin sucking.

are you kidding me

artest thinks he's jordan some nights. forcing the post up. forcing the bad jumpers. this team would be over .500 if artest stuck to what he does best. defense. he's no passer, he's no distributor, he's no scottie pippen. he's no kobe bryant. he needs to quit whining and play defense. he can score buckets, but we need his hustle in defense over his shooting. martins' numbers suffer when artest is forcing the issue. his shot is worse than his cd.

The only game where Ron's poor shooting clearly lead to a Kings' loss was in Denver on 12/8/07, when he went 5 for 18 while the rest of the team went 35 for 72, you could check for yourself each of the 15 games that were lost while Ron Artest was playing and you would see that there are other contributing factors to the losses, be it other players' poor shooting or an overall lackluster defensive performance.

When Ron decides to take it all on his own shoulders, the OTHER FOUR players on the team might as well not even be there. THAT'S the point; not whether or not he has single-handedly lost us games. It's not about blaming him for losses. It's about blaming him for not playing team ball, if you really must find something to "blame" him for.

Um, you're kidding, right?

My comment, the one you're referring to, was in response to that.

You talked about Martin playing like crap; my point was that playing like crap or not, at least he wasn't throwing fits on the court like a three-year-old having a tantrum.
