KINGS game 4 plan?

i know this is a "spurs game plan" thread...but i'm gonna continue to talk about the kings game plan for a moment. looking at the box score from last night, i just realized that mike bibby played the full 48 minutes last night, and the schedulers are not as nice to the lower seeds in the playoffs. last weekend, san antonio had a two day break in between home games. this weekend, sacramento has a one day break in between home games. the kings are going to need to look into backup ball handler options for tomorrow's game. hopefully bibby can get off to a quick start tomorrow, because if he doesn't get some rest during the game, he might not have the legs to carry us in the fourth. some other guys may need to step up. i'm not saying they won't. i have a lotta faith in these guys. i even have faith that bibby will play through whatever fatigue he may experience. but it is going to be pertinent to distribute minutes wisely in tomorrow's game.

I think the quick turn around has the potential to be more of a problem for Duncan than Bibby.

indeed

and that's a very good point. the kings will surely make it a point to try and wear duncan down, hopefully utilizing more of shareef's puzzlingly skillful duncan-stoppage. :)

Basically they need to keep focused. I was so impressed with how Ron Artest kept the intensity level up, even from the sidelines. He kept talking to the players, yelling out to the court, making sure no one lost sight of their objective.

The Spurs threw everything they could at the Kings. Pop used a substitution system more often seen in hockey than basketball. They did everything they could and, in the end, they came up short.

If the Kings come out and play with the same kind of intensity, if Adelman continues to keep a firm grip on the reins, if Arco can - right from the beginning - fill the air with the electricity that only ARCO THUNDER can bring, then the Spurs just might have a momentarily lapse. And that just might be enough.

Do pretty much what they did in games 2 and 3, except close out the end of quarters better...and put a hand in the face of their 3 pt shooters.

Indeed, I think Pop was pushing hard to close the series. A win yesterday would have let the Spurs finish the series at their leisure, letting them pull back their minutes on their key players in order to be ready for round 2.

I think he threw everything he had at the Kings. The big question is, how much does Duncan have left?

An all-star like Duncan might have a lot, but we'll see.
