I'm sorry but Alex Len should be in the rotation. We have a whole sample size of last year if not the last couple years of him playing his role well & the non-Sabonis minutes being a PLUS and not a liability. Just seems like an extreme overreaction to 1 bad game (9 minutes in Lakers game) from Len to then go small with Lyles at the 5'. Goodness, and this coming off a preseason where Len looked good too ... This happens every year with Len; it's crazy at this point.

So far Brown has used Lyles at the 5 if the other team has a smaller more PF like backup. I'm sure against bigger C teams he'll be back in.

Some have written Len off after 3 games.....and credited Kevin Huerter as an integral piece of a top offense after game 3. Go figure

Brown is sooooo weird with his rotations and lineup decisions. Ellis should have started and Len should be getting regular backup minutes.

And I don't agree w/ that for a couple reasons:

1. A team should NOT let the opposing team's rotation alter their own rotation ... You need to make the other team adapt to you! Plan Len vs smaller teams, and let him crash the glass, beat them up inside and let them adjust. Not the other way around.
2. There's pros/cons to the above strategy - Yes defensively, Len can get matched up better but he also prob won't offensive rebound well, finish inside as well vs. longer players. Whereas vs smaller guys he can more impose his physicality on the game.

Regardless, the Len/Lyles 4-5 backup spot was good last year. Giving that up what 3 games (and less than 20 minutes total I might add) in is just silly to me ... Now of course they'll go back to Len cause they always do, but it's just not necessary in my opinion.
