To say the Sacramento Kings' season has been underwhelming would be an understatement. After acquiring DeMar DeRozan in a sign-and-trade deal with the Chicago Bulls in the offseason, the Kings had built a roster on paper that was expected to challenge for the top spot in the Western Conference. It's all crap. And yeah, 2-to-1 "Nathaniel Holloway" is a ChatGPT port. But hey, you clicked on it. Until people stop clicking on it enough to make it pay for itself, it will keep showing up.

Weird thing about it is I am sure Jordi would love to have some guys he had good buy in from re-join him but given the moves the Nets made it seems like they were fine rolling the dice on this year's draft. They just might not be bad enough to have any sort of realistic odds at a top 4 pick. I'm not sure that means you go all in on one player this early into a full rebuild.

Like obviously this makes no sense for the Kings, but it probably wouldn't rate on Fox's list of preferred destinations (like if he hates CA taxes he'll love New York City) and it would probably set Brooklyn up to be just good enough to never be bad enough to ever get very good or great again.
