So exactly what IS his skill set suited for because it sure hasn't helped much of anything over the years.
He hasn't played with this lineup over the years.

Kid shot around 44/36 as the beneficiary of Cousins drawing attention from the defense. One would think that that's what his skill set is suited to.

He has the potential to be the best 3 and d player at SG on our team, which is exactly what we need. Whether he gets there is another issue but we're 3 games into the season and it's not like Marco is that guy. What Marco is is a terrific fit on the bench and a guy that can close games.

Bottom line, we aren't losing games because of our SG d or because Ben isn't scoring 5-6 more points/game.
When does this potential kick in? Holy ****. When?

I really would just like to know the story on DMC. If it's an legit injury then that's worrisome. If it's a locker room issue then that's a problem too. Either way, it's not good....at all.
He has a sore achilles, and is listed as day-to-day. This penchant for jumping to the most outrageous conclusions really gets tiresome after a while.

One person on here says "It might be a locker room issue" and all of a sudden we have a major problem? WTF? Kayte, who has my utmost trust, said on Twitter that it was nothing to be overly concerned about. I'm gonna believe her - and every other reporter covering the game - over some random hypothetical without any basis in fact.

Get your facts right....I'm not the one who said Ben cost is the game. I'm the one who says he just is a poopooty SG.
The fact is the lions share of the SG minutes went to other players and you're still complaining about Ben. In this game it didn't even matter because he didn't play. So why do you even care?

Yeah, but if we just believe Kayte, like rational people, then we have to stop spinning out about Cousins. Then what will we do? How many more times can we blame McLemore?

Yeah, but you also said that Willie Cauley-Stein has had more putback dunks in three games than Jason Thompson had in three years. I can't take people who indulge in that kind of hyperbole seriously. You ability to evaluate without bias is not to be trusted.

Surprised you could see what your typing there with your nose so high in the air.

There's no bias. I liked JT. But the simple fact was he couldn't jump over a matchbook and was blocked at the rim regularly. WCS's instincts around the basket are already looking way better.

I'm not upset at the way we played tonight. Terrible officiating and a few untimely mistakes but we looked good out there. Once the squad gets clicking and we get a little more SG production we will be the 8th seed, I'm calling it. Whether that means Beli is in the starting lineup or Ben continues to grow is the question. I'm ok with leaving him in the starting lineup for now. WCS is making an immediate impact and is only going to get better. I like what I see. Go Kangz.

I am a man of many talents.

I agree with this. But that's not what you said the first time. What you said was something that was not actually true; it wasn't even a reasonable exaggeration.

Ben needs to not be invisible. If he has some daylight on the shot then he should take it.

His issue remains that he isn't reading/reacting to the offensive situation well. Rondo finds shooters, but Ben is never getting himself open off of the play. If it's not a called play for him or a kickout, he is just not in the play.

I hate to stir up the rumor mill but I couldn't help but wonder why Cousins never returned to the bench if it was just a sore achilles? Usually if a player doesn't have a serious injury you'd see him back on the bench and you'd know Cousins would love nothing more than to support his team in beating Flop City. Could be making mountains out of sore achilles...i pray that's all it is.

Why did we let Griffin kill us down the stretch for the 2nd time in a week going against Rudy or Kosta instead of putting Big Willie on him?

All this talk about Ben.... it wasn't their perimeter players who killed us, it was Griffin. I'm far more concerned with Karl going back to the same strategy which failed a few days ago. That was the matchup we had to answer to.

Our lack of SG production is hurting though. It's leading to too much DC/Rondo together.

We were right there against an arguable top 5 team, 2nd night back to back, no Cuz 2nd half. Against LAL and most of the 1st half tonight, we strung together 6 pretty good quarters.

**** those refs.

Fact is Ben didn't get more than 10 minutes tonight for damn good reason. He wasn't contributing enough to the team to earn anymore time. Karl showed no faith by dispatching him to the bench where stayed put entire second half. So not only are many Kings fans on McLemore but the coach seems to agree. McLemore deserve the heat, maybe it will wake him up somehow or we just have to hope that gets it one day, actually plays like an NBA starting 2-guard. Otherwise lots of DC, Marco, Caron, Anderson - for the time being.
