He actually was benched, as in taken out and given a seat on the bench, in a literal sense. I just didnt like it being done so early Id rather him get some more run with the entire first team, just voicing my opinion.

Benched traditionally means taken out because of some wrongdoing, lackluster play, etc.

They're not perfect but they're playing with commitment, heart, focus and determination. And, even with the bench on the court, we're maintaining a double digit lead. Pretty freaking good if you ask me.
