Sheeesh. I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking the kings have had pretty good drafts the last two years :p
Even the year before. The Kings more than likely whiffed on all three of those first rounders(two for sure, and Skal is still here) and still have Bogdan Bogdanovic to show for their pick. Not to mention they ended up with one of the best players from that draft anyway(Buddy). Look at that draft and it’s astonishing how many first rounders have already been flat out given up on.

And the matters when you are up by 19 how?
I was talking in general since some have questioned why he's not playing at all some games. Garbage time is garbage time. I'm not sure how much that would really help Giles at this point. With his knees it's probably better to make sure he's warmed up first anyway.

Maybe Joerger didn't want to play Giles back to back. I'm going to trust that Joerger has a larger plan in place and this wasn't just a random decision.
I’m almost 60 and I never said on a message board what I’m about to say.....

Joerger isn’t likely playing Giles tomorrow either. This was a power struggle between Williams and Dave which Dave won and he appears to be hammering home his point by not playing Giles. I don’t like any grown man taking things out on a 20 year old kid.

I’m not questioning what kind of coach DJ is, I’m questioning what type of person he is.

I think you are pretty off base, but we shall see. I think this is because Giles is simply not ready. He has looked solid in stints, but not better than Kosta. The Kings are 13-11. Let's enjoy that and not make this a Joerger witch hunt...

The only thing I did not understand tonight is how we could of let hill go to Cleveland when he is worth a first and second round pick.
Just joking!!!

I really believe our coach may not want to play him with the 4 bigs in front of him. And he is not the only one out of the rotation and I really believe if he was ready and healthy and better at this point in his career he would be playing.
He has time and it may just be later this season or the next.

Giles wasn't playing much before Williams pissed his panties and he's not playing much now. In fact, Joerger even sent him down to the D League for a game prior to the tantrum. Boggles my mind that you're questioning Joerger here, rather than Williams.

Guys careers can get derailed by overzealous agents who poison the environment. Joerger effectively quarantined Williams which was absolutely the right move. I would have kicked him out of the gym as well, and I would have had security escort him out of the building to humiliate him as much as possible. TOTAL amateur move by Williams. You do NOT run your bullcrap in the gym. That is a sacred space for coaches and players only.

In terms of Joerger's treatment of Giles, it's been fairly consistent all year. The only thing that's changed is that YOU want to see him play more, based on the great flashes he's shown. So do I, however I'm not arrogant enough to think I have all the facts and can make a better judgement call than our Coach.

How desperate were the Jazz to get Korver?

Burks had 22-9-7 tonight and they traded him and picks
Very... Their shooting 33% from 3 this season and I know thats up a few ticks from weeks ago..

I like Burks a lot would be glad to see him aboard come the offseason. Pretty sure he's the same height as Troy Williams, tho there's a 1" difference on how their listed.

This!!! LOL u make a great point, reminds me of the story of what happened with the new Memphis owner when he first took over and he was trying to play tony allen 1v1 and I think he wanted all their coaches to wear headsets and keep him informed of everything..

If Koufos was playing poorly then there's a legit gripe, he's not though and so there isn't.

82 games is a long time, Giles minutes will come.

It's time to STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES!!!! Kings got way too much good going on to focus on Harry. When you look at Harry's injury history IDC how anyone could be surprised their bringing him along slowly.

They were are just different circumstances. Primarily the Hill trade was to allow Fox to play. Yeah it looks bad if you compare it in a vaccum, but he would have been on the books for us this year as well, whereas he is an expiring contract for Mil now. I am not stressing about it :)

In the post-game Fox mentioned out of the blue that Kings players yelled at each other and that there has to be accountability. He said accountability is a good thing. They had their yell-fest when the score was tied. Afterwards (beginning of the 2nd half) they went on a tear. My bet is that Fox is the one who was holding someone(s) accountable. I love the maturity of this kid. People can talk about his speed, quickness, passing, etc., etc., but what really separates the great point guards from the good one's is they are preternaturally mature for their age. This bodes very well for the future, Kings' fans.

My comment has nothing to do with his flashes of play. I’ll just leave it at that.

Giles doesn’t play winning basketball now, so I don’t question Joerger being hesitant to use him in close games. His athleticism is still a bit limited, doesn’t rim protect or move in team D and needs to gain a body. His rebounding is weak now too.

He’s 20 and needs more reps somewhere

In blowouts it’s another issue

Great win.

I think to me, these are the kind of games that will start to define us as a real contender for the playoffs. All of a sudden we're 5-0 against the bottom feeder teams (Cavs, Wizards, Heat, Hawks, Suns). And I'm not even sure if including the Wizards and Heat in that list is correct as both teams probably still get to 35-37 wins this year, which isn't horrible. With how close the West is (still just 5.5 games separate the 1 seed and 14 seed), being great in these match-ups and not giving away games we absolutely need to win is an awesome start.

Great Post, I think you're right about it being Fox holding people accountable. Somewhere in that 3rd q as the Kings pushed the lead back to double digits they were going to break and you could see Fox and a few players pretty much rush out to halfcourt to hype up the players on the court. It was a funny camera shot too because Shumpert was actually in the foreground and it appeared he was rushing out to chide an official.

The chemistry here is palpable and for such a young team it's quite awesome. The way they keep pouncing on opponents early also bodes well moving forward. Whole lot to like about this.

That's not it at all. Giles has no idea what to do without the ball on offense and is absolutely horrendous on defense. Giles without the ball looks almost exactly like Skal. Obviously when he has the ball in his hands he shows elite potential with his vision, but none of that matters if he can't play within an offense and can't be comfortable finding his spots off the ball to work his game. His off the ball game right now consists of, following the guy with the ball setting weak screens and expecting the pass on a pop. There's no sense of spacing.

I thought Bagley was the point of contention between the 2?

This is a terrible post questioning Joerger’s integrity like that.
