I'd normally give the Kings a puncher's chance since the Cavs are still in a transition period and have dropped two of their last three, one of which was a home loss to Boston.

But the Kings played Chicago and Brooklyn when they were sputtering and found a way to lose. In fact, the Kings are the only team the Bulls have beat in their last five games and the only team the Nets have beat in their last seven.

I know George Karl thinks the team is playing good basketball and just not winning but I can't see it that way. They are giving up way too many points (especially to start the game) and forced to try and claw their way back. If they do that against the Cavs it'll be a blowout.

Shumpert will be the scrub that explodes.

JR Smith will also get his, but that's to be expected because he's a shooter and there won't be a single King within 15 feet of him at any given moment.

Wonder if Cuz will even bother effort with Mozgov and TT.

Doug Christie gets it. His pre-game discussion of the Kings was spot on, with the ultimate focus on DEFENSE, DEFENSE and more DEFENSE.

Damn it. #GoKings

I could not believe he actually said that. If it's truly what he believes, he needs to just step aside and let someone who isn't delusional take the reins.

LeBron James has already passed Kevin Garnett on the all-time scoring list this season, and G-Man says he's 38 points away from passing Paul Pierce... It's got to be a kick in the ass to get passed up on an all-time list, while you're still playing.

Speaking of passing people up, DeMarcus Cousins has already become the Sacramento-era rebounding leader, and is nineteen boards away from tying Lasalle Thompson for sixth on the all-time franchise leaderboard. That's as high as he's going to get this season, but he should pass Jack Twyman for fifth next season.

Here's the quote and the author's comment to it:

"We're in a losing mode," Karl said. "We're losing games, but our basketball has not been bad basketball. It's been not good enough to win basketball, which happens in the NBA every night. Just because you lose doesn't mean you don't play good basketball."

The numbers don't really back him up, especially defensively. Sacramento has allowed 111.3 points per 100 possessions during this 1-7 stretch, 6.4 more than it was giving up in its first 43 game
