Didn't see one up yet, so I thought I'd at least put something out.

Well, um yeah. What happened in the last game pretty much sums up the entire season so far. There was excitement and optimism at the start of the game, that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach as the team laid a fat fat fat egg in the third quarter, feelings of unending despair (and a quick Google Maps search for the nearest bridge), all followed by a small flame of hope as the team at least tried to fight back (although they ultimately came up short).

Enough has been said in a bunch of current ongoing threads, so I'll leave all the bashing, criticism, and rallying for those threads (not to mention I have a bunch of stuff on my to-do list that really, really needs to get done).

Reke is struggling, plain and simple. He is hurt and other teams are planning exclusively for him. These struggles, however, remind of another certain player our of Memphis's start to his second year, and, if the trend continues, we as Kings fans should have nothing to fear.

As everyone knows, I am an unbridled optimist but there is someone here who loves our Kings and is more positive about them than even I. I speak, of course, of the Grand Matron of the board, VF21. To read her views on the current situation, read her great article located HERE. Do it now and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

Now onto the AWARDS:
Tony Delk Memorial: I know Danny Granger is a good player but that 37 point performance was TDM worthy.
JHA: Cisco had a lot of minutes and struggled until th very end of the game when he hit those threes to bring the game within reach.
SAR: Reke. Rest up and let yourself heal. You're playing like Wizards MJ without the jumpshot.
Mikki: Carl "I have 6 fouls to use, may as well use them" Landry
RA&1: Josh McRoberts. I don't know who he is nor will I probably hear his name ever again.
Desmond Mason Award for Futility in as a Small Forward: Omri Casspi. Remember when Omri was capable of hitting a shot and putting up some sort of defensive effort? Those were the days.
WTF Moment: Are we going to let Luther Head shoot ll of our shots in the 3rd quarter or what?
---
Donte- You made Granger look like Kobe. Now its time for you to guard the real thing.
JT- Playing with consistency. Just try not to be a Foulosaurus Rex
Sammy D- Get well soon
Reke- Ice those ankles.
Head- I's okay to let someone else shoot the ball in the third quarter.
Bench:
Cousins- More of that please!
Landry- Uhh what?
Beno- Nice bounce back performance.
Cisco- Are you counting on that lawsuit money or something because you're certainly trying to play yourself out of the league
Omri- Scoring a hoop won't hurt the basket.
Darnell- I guess you can expect to see time with Sammy out
Pooh- stay quick
Hassan- Have fun in Reno
Antoine Wright-Desmond Mason

Tonight brings the Lakers, who have been struggling of late and are ticked off. Rumor has it that Gasol is out for tonight. if that is the case we NEED to attack the paint because the Lakers front line is now reduced to Odom along side such stalwarts as Caracter and an embalmed Theo Ratliff)

I think we have to have Donte matched up with Kobe. If he's ot in, then have Head on him (who managed to slow him down the most in the last game). We can't afford to have Reke on Chuckles McFartface if we want to win.

I don't care about whether we're struggling or not, all I care about for tonight is one thing: They are the Lakers and we are the KINGS.

Let's extend the Laker's losing streak by another game why don't we?

BEAT LA

and
Go Kings!!

I'm fully expecting Caracter to have a career night against the Kings. I remember him beasting them in summer league.

With Gasol out they have a chance. But Gasol wasnt playing all that great when he was in. Kings need to play a consistent 48 minutes to give themselves an opportunity at the end. It would be grand if they were up by 20 going into the 4th, but even that lead would not be safe with Kobe Beef in the game.

The biggest factor, IMO, will be if Cousins can stay out of foul trouble. No Bynum/Gasol helps tremendously.

Edit: Nevermind. Pau giving it a go.
