Lol.. no one is falling for "the culture" crap.
Yeah as if Lavine, DDR and Sabonis are like "Oh damn, Schroder got signed? We better up our defensive intensity"

Kings muffing up again .... better to keep Lyles than sign Schroder. Also cheaper. No bueno. Lyles has been a consistent bench player.
I don't have any bone to pick with Lyles but my understanding reading the boards, twitter, reddit, etc is most people can't wait to show Lyles the door.Kings muffing up again .... better to keep Lyles than sign Schroder. Also cheaper. No bueno. Lyles has been a consistent bench player.
Kings fans hate Kings players until it’s time to trade them in which case they must be kept from getting traded at all costs.I don't have any bone to pick with Lyles but my understanding reading the boards, twitter, reddit, etc is most people can't wait to show Lyles the door.

Lavine has no culture of defense - he looks like he's been snake-bit by his earlier injuries and doesn't wanna mix it up. . And the Kangz swooped in to get "something".Yeah as if Lavine, DDR and Sabonis are like "Oh damn, Schroder got signed? We better up our defensive intensity"
I've been saying for years that Kings fans don't have what it takes to get the rebuild they claim they want and it seems pretty clear we're heading in that direction right now and the groans have already begun for the minor moves.Kings fans hate Kings players until it’s time to tease them in which case they must be kept from getting traded at all costs.
Agreed, but I think the logic was trading Monk to fill a need of PG/wing/forward then signing Westbrook. It doesn’t seem like Monk is able to bring anything back of value so far.Good. I would rather keep Malik than sign Westbrook.
I agree. Not impressed so far. Really hoping there is more up Perry’s sleeve.I'm waiting to see what the Kings do with DeMar. By all accounts, it seems like there's not much interest in moving him. I have no idea what's a smoke screen and what isn't these days, but if Schroder and Westbrook are representative of Perry's "type", than DeMar is certainly his type, as well. If so, we can look forward to a lot of slow, plodding, ugly basketball that once again marginalizes Domas' value to the team and reduces Keegan's opportunities to develop offensively. I'm really hoping Perry has a plan, and I'm really hoping that plan involves prioritizing the good young talent that's already on the roster, but I remain discouraged by what I'm seeing right now.

It’s possible. He plays with pace and he’s a smart player, gets downhill and can make plays.Would be funny if Dennis unlocks Demar/Lavine Lonzo Ball style
The Kings start the season at like 17-3 and everyone pretends that they were totally down with the offseason hahaWould be funny if Dennis unlocks Demar/Lavine Lonzo Ball style
The problem with George and others. On one hand they say Demar is better than Monk (insinuating better trade value). They all suddenly shifted mind set for Monk to go in the schroder deal, and we should accept his value is just low.

Yep why I never took Jamal’s bet. If it’s negative value, which I think it is, then you just keep him. The fact we can’t trade any of Monte’s assets for positive value is a pretty big indictment of the previous org.But can you accept negative value? If a team is going to ask for your picks to take on LaVine’s salary, you’re better off just keeping him.
I'd say hes been a consistently underwhelming yet fine backup. If Lyles is your 9th/10th guy thats fine. Hes been the 7th guy here and hasn't really justified that role. There's a reason he hasn't been signed yet and will probably not have a promised when the season startsRespectfully disagree with this. Lyles is barely a rotation player at this point. Schroder is a solid starter.
I’m hoping that Devin averages 40 in summer league and Scott changes his mind on him (if it needs to be changed)The Kings start the season at like 17-3 and everyone pretends that they were totally down with the offseason haha
No one will even remember this all happened by the time June comes around...And when we're all celebrating in Downtown Sacramento. The Kings start the season at like 17-3 and everyone pretends that they were totally down with the offseason haha
Not really. More why sign Dennis to block your young kids from playing time and in what century are we going to address the front court issues?I've been saying for years that Kings fans don't have what it takes to get the rebuild they claim they want and it seems pretty clear we're heading in that direction right now and the groans have already begun for the minor moves.
You and me both. He's the key to what happens to this roster because of the lousy fit, the lousy defense, and like you say if he isn't shipped then Murray is going to be odd man out, which is exactly the opposite direction this team should go. I'd be selling DDR for a 2nd round pick in 2030 at this point if I had to. He has got to go.I'm waiting to see what the Kings do with DeMar. Because we don't have a PG on this team. Maybe Carter can get there but he's not a starting PG this year. Not really. More why sign Dennis to block your young kids from playing time and in what century are we going to address the front court issues?
Yeah but like...what would we do until August?!We’re also literally only 20 hours into the new season so maybe we should at least hold off until August before determining what direction Scott is taking the team?
That partial guarantee better not be more than $200k and less than $1.25 mil... or I'm gonna be SO PISSSEDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!I need that partial to be like 1 million. Not a demar type partial
NONSENSE! It works in NBA 2K when I just started Carter and sim for a whole season his rating gone up by 5 points. That means it's proven to work!!!Because we don't have a PG on this team. Maybe Carter can get there but he's not a starting PG this year.
I feel like you can just wing it with youth at every position except that one.
