Kings 2 and 8 against the best in the west!?

I know everyone hates the trade talk, but if Petrie thinks there is a way to get better I would think he would consider it.

i can see it formulating in several threads.... for god sakes please please PLEASE don't even begin to blame mobley for any of the Kings faults... he has been a tremendous player, easily giving us a better line up 1-5. the Kings problem's were the same before mobley got here: can't defend the paint. can't get clutch rebounds. no shot blocker(s).

i didn't think he was into making trades mid-season? from my understanding the only reason he did the christie trade was b/c it was too good to pass up.

Wow. I think this may get Petries wheels turning.

Um, Petrie ASSEMBLED this team, he is very well aware of their strong points AND their weaknesses. You think he watched this game and had some sort of revelation about the WAY he has put this team together?

Better shooter maybe a better lineup but he is not a better TEAM PLAYER AND not a good cruch time decision maker he makes bad crunch time plays even when he was in houston he's not real cerebal.

On a good note the one team with a worse record against the best of the west is tommorows opponent, Dallas.

Well as its been said before, this month or so is the barometer as to where the Kings are compared to the rest of the league. So how are we doing so far?

They won those 2 games with doug christie in a sacramento king uniform.

So???

They also lost their first 3 games against Dallas, SA and Houston with Doug Christie.

If Christie would have been playing these last 2 games would not even have been close.

Is there a reason why someone has to start a thread about every single little thought that pops in their head???

So what You saying is - Mobley's aquisition was without a purpose

I don't consider these games much barometer, missing too many players. Winning these games doesn't, in actuallity, get us anything. Pacific Division? Been there, done that, have many T-Shirts, best record in the league? Ditto. Home court in the play offs all the way through? Check. I don't personally plan on getting too bent out of shape about mid-season losses, I'm saving my energy for the home stretch, when it matters. This is, in the end, nothing.

I don't know about that but they did beat the spurs with doug and also the suns at home but it's who lot of reasons they may have won with doug but I aint about to go into that.

He has been an excellent team player. And he'll continue to develop.

If anything I think having a guy like Mobley helps us to better our team. I would personally take him over Doug and it seems like he has added a mental toughness to the team. The Kings to need to get a chip on there shoulder.

He better quickly he needs to work on his crunch time game.making smarter plays down the stretch. But so far my gripe with cuttino is his execution down the stretch. But he can shoot his butt off he just needs to overstand what to do in crunch time and with the rockets it was the same way with cuttino making bda plays when it counted. If he cleans that area up he will be a better TEAM PLAYER.

i WOULDN'T SAY HE IS AS MENTALLY TOUGH AS DOUG HE HAS SOME GOOD TEAMS TO BEAT FIRST.

As far as the big shot issue, where have you guys been?? He has hit plenty of big shots.
BIG SHOTS WHEN IT COUNTS WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE.ALSO BIG PLAYS AN EXTRA PASS OR GOOD CLOCK MANAGEMENT OR GOOD BALL VALUE.

I am more concerned with the fact that we don't dominate like we used too.

You had - Vlade, Healthy Webber, Bobby, Hedo, JJ etc.

We do not have that talent anymore.

I think Mobley has been a great team player, and his defense has been better than I expected. Granted, he's not DC on defense, but few players are. I honestly think our team is better with him (although I love DC). The biggest weakness I see in Mobley is that his crunch times decisions aren't always the best, but again, he is still relatively new to our team and is getting used to things.

It's a bummer that we have these losses against the good teams but I'm not going to get overly concerned about it. Obviously there are the injury issues, etc., but even ignoring that, a regular season loss is just a regular season loss. Just because they beat us during the season doesn't mean that we couldn't win in the playoffs.

Thats true but I would like to at least win one season series against one of the top teams in the West. So far we have lost the series to Seattle and San Antonio.
