KING IN ARABIC

I'm stoked that the Kentucky Connection is now going to be around for quite a bit longer! Fox and Sabonis are the All-Stars leading the Kings right now but Monk is the Chief Morale Officer on the squad and every bit as vital from a personality point of view. What a fantastic start to the off-season! And the ability for teams to get these deals in place for their own key free agents before the draft is the best change the NBA has implemented in decades.

If Monk can't go in Denver time for... Markelle Fultz to start... Get involved right away taking PG reins.

We're gonna be ok fam. Would we start Keon? Maybe see some more Devin. Fultz obviously will get some quality time which is good though he had almost half our turnovers last night.

Yes, Keon is next man up. Fultz will back him up, if necessary. I expect Zach LaVine to manage a lot of the ballhandling duties for the starters, though.

Malik will be out again tomorrow night against the Spurs. It will be day-to-day until he is ready to go.

As I said before, toe injuries can linger, so you want to make sure you are healthy before pounding the hardwood again.

Did anyone see that video of Fox's wife berating him last night?
I posted one link in the game thread. There's others on twitter I can't link here because there is profanity (from the fans recording) in them.

It was weird but Malik seemed to take in in stride with that sorta Eddie Murphy laugh and smile that is also like "okay, crazy". But it did appear her people were trying to get her to walk away.

Monk did the gentleman thing to do. I can invasion a rough road ahead for Fox if his wife is going to behave that way b/c IMO that looks terrible on him.
At first I thought it was cool to see a player family member so actively engaged with the fanbase then I realized that she was basically buying a little influencer group within the Kings online world. She'd give them tickets and jerseys and occasionally dirt that they would leak out there, or spin a narrative the Fox's wanted out there about how the FO was passing over players that Fox liked (apparently he really, really likes Cam Johnson?).

Then I realized that it was her when the DLo leak happened. And it was like that Keyser Soze moment where all the pieces flashed together and the dots instantly connected.

And when you realize that she's terminally online and a quick temper a lot more things make sense. Fox does seem to be a pretty passive guy so I'm sure when he seems to just not care, he probably really doesn't. She's the one that does. This Monk thing seems to bear that out.

Maybe Recee Fox is mad that Monk is a pizza guy
I thought maybe she took it as a slight that he wore a Prince jacket and Purple Rain was code for Purple Reign, and she wants him to know that Reign is now with the Spurs. Ok. Pizza guy? You hear me? There is no purple reign!

Maybe she was always more of a Michael Jackson person

I was disappointed in Fultz this game. He made a few good assists, but his offense is off. Maybe it’s because he isn’t playing regularly. I mean it took Zach a bit, but I was hoping Fultz fixed his shot.

For sure it is. Fultz, Carter, Huerter, LaRavia, Trey, and a few others this season have been in those low opportunity spots. Tough place to be unless you come in and at least play really good defense because getting offense going in 3-4 minutes is all or nothing. Fultz has been good at times offensively and defensively but against quicker players he's getting torched.
