Kevin Martin Is My Hero

It sounds like a terrible name from an 80's breakdance movie.

Wait, I'm wrong. "The Dude" is from The Big Lebowski, I think.

I'd be suprised if I'm wrong. I love my movies (even though I thought Lebowski sucked).

correct, but blasphemy! flea was in it!

nah thats cool if you didnt like it i guess

Hate drug movies. Dunno why. I just do.

Especially drug movies where people are slimy, gross and haven't showered or have their lives fall apart.

I must have been a mad druggie in a previous life, because I always feel ill at the end of one of those movies.

PS - FLEA FREAKING ROCKS!

Welcome to the Kevin Martin BandWagon everyone. Please note the seats up front by the bar are reserved, sit anywhere else you can find room.

I built it in June 2004, before the draft, but you are still one of the early riders:D Your seat is probably pretty close to the fully stocked bar too

Make sure you notify everyone where the exits are located for when he has a bad night. ;)

Safety exit is located toward the rear on the left, in front of the axle. Please be advised that exiting the Bandwagon while it is in motion could result in injury, as you will most likely be either wound around said axle or run over by the wheel. In any event, should you escape injury, you will lose your seat and be required to sit in the back upon re-entering. Worst of all, you WILL be denied entry to the bar.

That bandwagon ran over my foot last year and it hurt like heck... but I learned my lesson and got on. Lucky thing... this year it would probably crush my head.

Heck of a player!

One thing many may have not realized is that the two biggest moments in MArtin's career have come on great plays by Mike Bibby. I know Bibby has put up numbers, but as been careless in other aspects of his game to start off the season. Granted, he is playing with a bum thumb and I applaud him for doing so and sucking it up! MAd props to him for that. Also, mad props for the confidence he's showing in the rest of his team, especially Kevin. Bibby may have given up 11 TO's today and not shot particularly well, but in a span of 8 seconds, he was able to make up for it with two huge plays down the stretch...thus proving that he's still a clutch player, and is quickly being joined in that department by Mr. MArtin!

Props to our backcourt for everything they've done to help this team so far, and hopefully they can play well on the 2nd half of a back-to-back against Mil. I think KT is good enough defensively to at least give Villanueva some trouble defensively, and I'm not worried about Redd as along as Ron is on him. It will be interesting to see how much Miller will be lit up by Bogut though. That remains to be seen!

Kev's performance put a smile on my face. Kids gonna be a stud. Tons of potenial and fun to watch. Really hope he can consistently play smart ball. The doubters will be silenced if he can become consistent.

I just saw the Big Lebowski, and "dude" was his name. BTW, the movie was pretty funny.

Hey, Kg, slide that O'Douls down the bar will ya? I'm so glad I had sense enough to join your early bandwagon. Now, I never have to give up my spot at the bar. Hey, I finally wore that new Kevin jersey. Did you see me on House Party Live?

There it is everybody... Kevin Martin

its funny thinking bout all those letting Wells go for nothing threads and the we are screwed now because Wells is gone threads... as i have said all along Kevin Martin everybody.... Kevin Martin.... has everyone see the Kevin Martin 2006 mix on youtube.com???? this guy has rising star all over him... the shot... the speed... the dunks and the clutch ability...

Wells is hurt right now we would be screwed if he even took the 5year 36mil. deal.... if you think about it that was way over the market value for this guy... no other team was willing to drop that kind of money for him... wow we would be sad if he had took that deal.... see Wells is a good post player but do we really need two great post up players artest and wells on the floor at the same time... plus both of them cant really jack 3's like the avg SG... if teams just pack the paint thats almost all our offense taken out with wells...

I knew that we would do better with a SG that can actually shoot... and slash... plus Martins def isnt that bad and there is no limit on what he can do...

Peace out Wells.... hello Martin...

Here you go, 6th! One O'Douls! KG built the bandwagon but, if you recall, I stocked the bar. And I have a list of all the charter members.

:p

I did catch a glimpse or two of you on the HPL replay I watched last night!

What a great night for Kevin ... and Mike Bibby.

I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!

.... see Wells is a good post player but do we really need two great post up players artest and wells on the floor at the same time... plus both of them cant really jack 3's like the avg SG......

Now if Artest would just assume that role and stop jacking up bricks from outside - but instead use that left handed layup and bully his way to the line.... we would REALLY have something!

Most of all last night, I loved the expression on Martin's face after that last shot - I couldn't read his lips but it seemed like he was saying the right thing!!!!

I made a bet with a buddy of mine that K-Mart would average 17-19 a game this year. He said there is no way K-Mart would average more than 13-14 points per game for the season but I'm almost sure if he stays healthy he'll be our second leading scorer behind only Bibby. Artest will probably be right with him in scoring around 17-19ppg.

I wore my Kevin Martin jersey for the 1st time tonight. I purchased it before this season began (only because I did not have the extra funds last year). I will, of course, take full credit for his continued superb play. ;)

How many jerseys can we get you to wear all at once? ;)

Note: For all those who were bad-mouthing GP for picking Kevin a couple of years ago, isn't it nice to be wrong?

And for those who are second-guessing Quincy as our choice this season - wait for it.

Hahaha! Too funny, George. If anyone wants to buy me a jersey (large), I'll wear it. :p

I agreed with everything you said outside saying that Wells can't jack up 3's like an average SG. Wells is a great 3 point shooter and used to ALWAYS kill us when he was on Portland with his 3's.

Edit - not that it matters really because Martin can put up the 3 as well. I just felt I needed to come to Well's 3 point shooting defense. :D
