Kevin Huerter

Until recently I would have said he’s certainly a viable candidate. I look forward to him getting his groove back!

Probably. But part of that is not having many other good trades to compete with.

What other trade could be better?

The Rudy Gay trade with the Raptors? Probably not. It was essentially a salary dump for Toronto.
Cousins for Buddy and a 1st? Maybe, if only because it might have kept the Kings from giving Boogie a supermax deal.
Randolph and JJ for Barnes? That's a possibility. HB has been a solid contributor for years now.
2nd rounder to Toronto for TD? That was a low cost steal IMO, even if Davis leaves after this season.
Domas for Tyrese? It definitely improved the Kings, but at best it was a win-win trade.

Vlade's biggest issue in trades was that he'd actually make really good deals for picks, but then blow those picks.

Bellinelli for the 22nd pick? Awesome. But then he drafted Malachi Richardson
#8 for #13, #28 and Bogdanovic? Great. Except he took Papagiannis and Labissiere
#10 for #15 and #20? Okay. But Giles and Justin Jackson weren't the right picks.

Huerter has been a good pick up. My biggest question with him is how does someone who is such a good sharp shooter from 3 point range struggle so much at the free throw line? He's 66.1% from the charity stripe, basically the worst FT shooter on the team, what the heck? o_O

Possibly. The HB trade was a heck of a deal for us. Personally though, the Domas trade has been huge for this team. Yes, we gave up a good young player in the deal but Domas has been, along with Brown, instrumental in turning the culture AND he’s putting up historical numbers.

At this point, he should just shoot his free throws from the 3 point line.

Cousins for Buddy and a 1st would have been fantastic IF he hadn't bungled the pick so bad. That was the #10 we swapped for #15 and #20.

Donovan Mitchell (and Fox BFFs Bam and Monk) were there for the taking at 10. We could have had John Collins and OG Anunoby with 15 and 20. At least Justin Jackson helped net us Barnes and I think he's arguably the only other trade in this conversation. I'd go so far as to say 1a and 1b.
