Just seen the Clippers game

ITFC

Prospect
Was a little to drunk to see the game on Monday so just got round to watching the game

3 points to make.

1/ the atmosphere seemed electric. Why are there so many stay away fans at most games. The fans were the the 6th man on the court and really seemed to help pump the team up.

2/ Thornton looks a steal. Hopefully he can keep his form up till the end of the season to create a big headache for the management come the end of the season

3/ Am i the only one who feels that De Marcus needs a break?? He looked very tired on court and maybe a short break will stop him really burning out. (not sure how many back-up players we have to fill in for him).

1) I don't know. Most people aren't very interested in paying to watch a team lose most of its games I suppose.

2) I've been begging for us to get a real shooter. I hope that Thornton turns out to be a guy that we can very much use.

3) Nope. I don't think it's only physical fatigue but mental fatigue as well. He's probably reaching the point where he feels that all the calls are always going against him, not happy with the team's number of wins, not happy with his own play. As a result it makes him force things, it makes him sulk and pout instead of hustling, and that leads to poor play. Cycle repeats itself.

It would be good if we could rest him a little more and try to let him settle back down into his offense, be more patient etc. But with Tyreke out we need Cousins for offensive purposes.

Tickets cost a lot. I lost track but once had season tickets. I bought two naturally and they cost a lot. No one wants to pay that amount and watch loss after loss. In any case I don't. What do they cost on the lower level, folks? We have had several years in a row of losing. I had season tickets for 10 years and in that span, there was not one year where we won more than half the games, That set a record for futility but it also turned me off to buying season tickets.

I think the best thing that can happen for Cousins is the season to end. I'm with you. He came into the season out of shape but no rookie (debutante?) is used to playimg as many games as these guys play. The same thing happened to Casspi last year and he is far improved this year. Add in the new found popularity among women and you know these young guys aren't getting as much sleep as usual.

I suspect Thornton feels grateful to be here as the last team he was on quit using him much. Moving from team to team can't be fun especuially for the older guys with kids. I don't know if that fits his situatuion but I know it must be a real hassle. He has a place on this team and everyone wants to play.
