SOURCE: Phil Jackson has placed JR Smith on the trading blocks. Kings and Bucks drawing interest.

Targets that Phil Jackson is going after from the Kings and Bucks for JR Smith are Jason Thompson, Carl Landry and Ersan Ilyasova.

Not sure if this source is in any way reputable but doesn't seem to make sense with our direction, which means it makes total sense. Complete knucklehead but if swapped for Landry, wouldn't be the end of the world. Until Cousins chokes him to death of course.

Look, putting no stock in this rumor at all...

HOWEVER, it should be noted that J.R. could effectively end up as an ending contract. There are 2 years left, but the second year is a player option, and with his ego, and at his age, he could easily end up opting out to go test the market and try to get something longer while he still can.

I'm not sure in who's eyes bringing JR Smith to this team would make any beneficial sense. What happened to culture change? How about ridding ourselves of low IQ and chucking ball players? So he expires one year earlier than JT...big deal. I'm willing to keep him around if that's the best we can get.

Confusing rumor. A 3 way could be a little beneficial for Illyasova and JR to Bucks? I don't think I'm thrilled, but might could improve our finances. ?

PDA said he wanted to add a shotblocker or a stretch 4 right?
Why not both?

Kings get: ~$18,9M
Ilyasova (from Bucks)
Sanders (from Bucks)

Knicks get: ~$6M
Thompson (from Kings)

Bucks get: ~$18,8M
Williams (from Kings)
Landry (from Kings)
JR Smith (from Knicks)

I'd be happy, and we'd win more games.

just pretending this is a legit story, I assume this would happen if Ben was moved. Absolutely can't stand watching this guy though would be a very hard move to get behind.
