An unrestricted free agent. We could use him at SF. What y think?
The reason J-Smooth would not be here is first money, then money, and lastly money. While his shotblocking and defense would be welcome, he has a chucker, me-first offensive mentality without the game to back it up. I don't think Malone could rein that in.
Apples and Oranges. These are two completely different players. Hilarious you would even go there. While i m not a big fan of Smith i think it is interesting how different some of you judge players, who put up very similar offensive numbers.
Cousins: 17,1 Pts on 46%
Smith: 17,5 Pts on 46%
Smith played more minutes than Cousins but he contributed with 4,2 APG, 1,2SPG and 1,8BPG to make up for that a little bit.
Smith would be valuable for the Kings and shouldnt be judged just by his shooting percentage. In my opinion he is a really good player, but he demands too much money to be signed by the Kings. But i think "chucker" and "me-first" takes it a bit too far ;-)

TS% is much more indicative of player effectiveness than FG% and here's Smith's arc: .506-.500-.506-.520-.533-.536-.540-.499-.501. It's easy to notice those .530-.540 seasons. It was obvious reliance on long twos is a losing strategy. He cut those down at one point, but the last two seasons went back to them.
Cousins TS% arc? .484-.499-.524 and since January this season it was even more impressive .547 - something Smith never achieved.
Thank you, but why do you think, that a stat, that takes FT% into account is more indicative to judge the opinion, that Smith is a "Chucker"?
A stat that takes FT% into account is simply a better way to assess a player's offensive effectiveness. Players who get fouled a lot and make a lot of free throws help their team, while players who get fouled a lot and miss a lot of free throws hurt their team by doing so. It's really that simple. Whether the adjective "chucker" applies or not is pretty subjective. But a team has a certain number of possessions in a game and the high score wins, so knowing how many points a player scores per possessions that he uses is a key offensive factor - and you have to take FTs into account to get that.
