Its being reported that Atlanta wants to shed salary and and is shopping Josh Smith (again?). I have 2 questions, what it would take to steal Josh from the Hawks and do you guys think hes a good fit?

IMHO hes a good fit cuz he really doesnt need to score to be effective (like Brick mentioned on the Tony Parker thread), hes a big time defender who can defend most of 3's and 4's around the league and can fill our void at the SF position...and hes still young at 25 (26 in December)...He's a very good slasher and an average shooter..

Its clear that the 76ers want a quality big for Iguodala and it doesnt look like we are giving up our 2 best bigs (Cuz and Samy)...granted I cant see a way to pray Iguodala off them.. as for Tony Parker I have to agree he isnt a good fit. and for Felton, Smith has the edge with playoff experience, size, etc...

Josh Smith would be a good fit for the Kings at SF, he's athletic, good defender, and can hit the open shot. They can have Omri?

I completely agree with you, but what "better players" do we have? We are not trading Reke or DMC so I dont know if we have what it takes to land Smith. I love Jsmoove and have been wanting him for a few seasons but I just dont think that the Hawks will bite on a JT, Omri and next years pick type of package. I think that is as good of a package as this team can offer.

They probably want to include Johnson's horrendous contract in any kind of Smith trade.

Not a right fit for this team, IMO. Can't shoot for a damn, he can defend I know and he's athletic but I'm going to keep mentioning it over and over again, I want our SF to be able to shoot at least somewhat from the outside! He needs to spread the floor for Reke/Cuz. Simple as that.
