There may be offsetting factors. Did the Kings really try to do a S&T in the $60 million range? Either way, the team did appearantly give him everything they could and let him set the number of years. It was reported (if accurate) that he turned down a $47 million dollar contract to go to a "contender." The fact there appeared to be good faith negotiations and he made a decision to accept less could make it a mute point.Bricklayer said:I'm talking about Shareef's mindset.
