Kings to Honor Bibby and Webber Thursday
The Sacramento Kings are excited to announce Kings legend Mike Bibby will be the guest of honor for the team’s nationally-televised Legends Game on Thursday, Nov. 20 when the Kings host the Chicago Bulls.
Unfortunately, the previously-scheduled Jason Williams is now unable to attend the game and has released the following statement:
“Please extend my sincere apologies to all members of the Kings organization and especially to the great fans of Sacramento. Sacramento has held a special place in my heart since I left and I can’t imagine a better organization, city or group of fans to play for. While I hoped to come join everyone out there this Thursday, unforeseen circumstances have interfered with my plans. I hope to see everyone in the near future and wish the Kings and their fans good luck going forward this season.”
While an alternate date in which Williams could visit Sacramento has yet to be determined, the Kings are thrilled to welcome back Bibby.
As part of TNT’s coverage of Thursday’s contest, Kings legend Chris Webber will also be in the building, as the team pays tribute to one of the franchise’s most revered duos.
