January Games for the CAP NBA Live 2005 Dynasty

Mike (Postgame):

What can I say? I guess I own the Rockets. It was fun out there scoring a career high and it was nice to be challenged a little. Ive gotta hit the showers, Ill be ready to do it again next game. Without BBall we may be sitting here with the loss so he was outstanding tonight!!

Danny:

"Good game guys, as usual. BIC was our scoring leader even with limited minutes, so thats very cool. We're on our way to the NBA's best record and the Championship, so I'm feelin' good...I'm sure you guys in the media will be contacting me as soon as The Peter or someeone makes a ridiculously hilarious comment, so I'll have to have more to say then. I'll save my strength now *big smile*"

A "source" close to Miles:

Miles is in a bit of a funk right now. He had consecutive double-doubles and didn't get nary a mention... I think his feelings are hurt. He's really been working hard on his game. I think the last game showed his frustration. Like why should he try if no one is going to recognize how much work he's been putting in? You know?

Statement from The Peter---

"The Peter is an extremly selfish person, and seldom gives his "Props" to anyone. However, since some people are seeming upset over lack of their "Props," The Peter will shout out some "Props." This is only a one time thing though, The Peter doesn't want to become something he's not...First off, I'd personally like to thank BBall, because without him, The Kings, and The Peter, would be saddled with a loss in our last game...And my second "Prop" is to Miles. He is honestly one of the best players on this team, and he is flying under the radar. Don'ty worry Miles, your double doubles will finally go noticed when we win the NBA Finals, and you'll be the MVP. The Peter knows it..."

Props also go to Miles for a tremendous double-double. 12 pts and 14 rebounds in only 19 min of play is phenominal. Good job, Miles. Your rebounding was a difference maker.

Hmmm! Miles, this was part of post #229. Hmphh! ;)

the "source" close to Miles:

Miles wasn't referring to you, 6th. He considers you a good friend and misses you on the team. He says he was just a little hurt because he had consecutive double-doubles and didn't even merit as much as a footnote in the game summaries. He was playing better than ever before and felt he just wasn't appreciated. He wants to feel worthy of his new role as starter. He is concerned that if no one notices his stepped up production he might end up back on the bench. Hence his apparent depression and reduced performance in the last game...

Vasillis: Wow, the kid really knows how to help the team. I better start taking tips from bball! haha. Maybe we all should. I gotta get more rebounds and blocks.

(Runs from the media while yelling OOOGA BOOGA!)

Sorry BBall hope you don'd mind me posting players from my dynasty, I did not want to start another thread. BIC just wanted to know who was on it.

Who's on your roster?
A bunch of guys that don't exist.

-PG 5'11 Traded from Miami. Plays like an agressive Mike Bibby, but shoots better and plays denfense. Gets to the line a lot.
18pts 4reb 6ast 1.2 stl
-SG 6'3 Drafted from Russia. Strong post up guard for his size and a good defender. Streaky 3pt shooter.
14pts 4reb 5ast 1.4stl 1blk
-SF 6'4 undrafted from Sacramento. Plays like a smarter Doug Christe but can block shots. Can't shoot but creates for others. Draws fouls.
14pts 6reb 5ast 2blk 2stl 1foulpg 1TOpg
-PF 7'0 280lbs recently traded for from Clevand. Plays like an agressive Eddy Curry. Runs the floor like a guard.
12 pts 8reb
-C 7'0 undrafted. Can handle the ball and shoot like a decent guard. Shot blocker.
12pts 10reb 2blk

PG 6'0 drafted from Korea. Clutch 3pt shooter. Shots 100% from FT line in regular season (Shot 100/100+).
F 6'9 traded from Chicago. Good athletic defender. Slow and is the team's weakest FT shooter. Pretty good passer (4 apg).
F 6'8 spot up shooter. Teams second best shooter. Developing post defense.
SG 6'7 Dunk waiting to happen. Does not want to shoot but shots well (55% 48% 3pt). Is a defensive minded player. Can post up and block shots.
C 6'10 from Korea. Defensive minded player. Slow and not very athletic.

2 other players with bright futures.
My sg and sf may retire soon.

Current simulated record 17-1 in year 2020.

For some reason there are a lot of 6'2 SGs in the future.

Defense wins and I guess thats why you are blowing out other teams.

Did you have to simulate like 10 years to get all those or 5 years? ORdid you trade for draft picks. If you did I would like to know HOW, because they always never let me.

I viewed and simulated every year. I traded for players before AS break or during the summer. I signed the 2 undrafted players (C and SF) as free agents when they were undrafted rookies. I drafted the 6'8 F late in the 1st round draft. I drafted the back up PG from Korea when I was not doing to well early around 2010. I never traded for higher 1st round draft picks (Yes it almost never works).

I've played dynasty a few times and I've never had one this sucessful before. The first one I had I was fired as GM. Another time I traded for high level Super Stars (I had trade override on for that dynasty only) but that also did not work. You just need players that compliment others and make up for their weaknesses. My pg,sg, and sf all can create for other players so that helps the team out a lot. I think I was just either smart or lucky with this dynasty. 5 simulated championships in 12 years.

--Another rare pre-game comment sesion from The Peter.

"Ok, the Peter is here to talk smack. Those who don't want to hear...Leave. I just have something to say about ONE of the T-Wolves. It's not Kevin Garnett, I have ALL the respect in the world for him. He's the best there is today, no doubt. It's not Sam Cassell, me and Sam are on good terms. We exchange harmless barbs once and awhile...But not now...Now's not the time...Now's the time for me to say what everyone in the entire league is saying in their heads, but not out loud...To one Latrell Spreewell...You are, honestly, the worst excuse of a pro basketball player today. Sure you have occasional flashes of brilliance, but that's all overshadowed by your lunacy...You know, Latrell, The Peter is making the league minimum, and me and my family are living pretty damn well...The Peter just cannot imagine an "insulting" 14 million dollar lifestyle. Man, that's tough. I feel for you...Now that The Peter's under your skin, he doesn't want to be on the court at the same time as you tommorrow. We all know what happens when you get mad. The Peter will leave the rest up to his fans and followers to imagine...The Peter will see you tommorrow, LA-trell. Let's see what you got."

::The Peter walks off, as the media room just sits there in shocked silence::

Well? Where's the game?

Where is everyone? Where is hte dailey commetns from people?

Come on guys, I am not doing this for 5 poeple.

If you want us to keep excited about making our comments, I think you have to hold up your end of the bargain.

I thought I would play the game that day but I ended up not because I wsas busy. And I have done my end of the bargain you know. Smoetimes I get busy. I will post the game right now........

Did you read about next years NBA Live? They've redone the graphics so players pound (and each other) the floor and not glide across it. They also gave new free style moves for playmakers so you can choose what kind of pass you want. Like holding L and taping B will give do a fake pass and holding L and pressing X will deliver an around the back pass. They have a system like this for defense and dunks too. They changed the AI system for more realistic computer opponents.

Yup I did see that out. It was a very realistic video if you saw that too. I saw it on IGN.com. Did you? This hopefully will have fast breaks and no 10 blksck everry 5 seconds. No figure skating either. Here si the link for hose who want to check it out.

I am getting this game for Xboxx 360 when I get it!

Go down so you can check the video!!

Yeah that's where I saw it. I hope they add in Bibby's crab dance after he hits a game winner, Webber's passes (under the legs and around the back), and Motumbo's after the shot block finger wave.
