Clippers Sign Jason Williams
The Los Angeles Clippers today signed free agent guard Jason Williams, according to Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not announced.
Williams has averaged 11.4 points, 6.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds for a total of three teams over his 10-year NBA career. The six-foot-one, 180 pound point guard has also started and played in 53 career playoff contests.

Is it just me, or are the Clips making moves every day? And not just for crappy players, but for arguably underrated higher-marquee players like Ricky Davis, Brian Skinner and Jason Williams.

Skinner is a marquee player?? In what alternate universe?

J-Will is over the hill with bad knees

The Skinner comment you made is actually quite ironic, considering that Skinner, albeit in very few games, arguably had his best season with us four years ago--I remember many of us were praising his ability to rebound the ball and be disruptive defensively (1.0 steals, 1.7 bpg, 8.7 rpg). He's a solid hustle player and he had his flashes with Phoenix. He's a little overrated in terms of talent, yes, but you can never have enough hustle players who do the dirty work on your team.

J-Will, if for the vet minimum on a 1-year contract, is a huge bargain. Yeah, the bum knees, but he's still tops in assist-per-turnover ratio after he drastically toned down his game per Hubie Brown's request ever since his Memphis days. His game is sliced in half, but he's great as a backup to Diddy if that's the scenario.

Ricky Davis is also the type of player where he is always looks pretty decent stat wise but does nothing to help the team he is on.

I didn't say that Skinner didn't have his place or have a specialty, which is defense. My comment was about being "Marquee". Lebron James is a Marquee player, Brian Skinner is not.

i wonder how much they are paying him? i was so sure that he would end up in phoenix.... oh well....

the clippers are retarded straight up. Talk bout the opposite of going young!

All jokes aside I think they can make a playoff push though. I say they top out at 40-42 wins

The Clips are way young enough...

Eric Gordon
DeAndre Jordan
Mike Taylor (D-League)
Al Thornton

And Kaman is only 5 years in to his NBA career.

Camby will be the middle enforcer, and Baron will do his thing.

Thomas, Davis, Williams, Mobley, and Skinner give great vet support.

Looks like a very good blending to me. Nice job by Elgin.
