It's Official, We Are Cursed..

Tons of talent at 5, don't get too discouraged. Anyways 5 isn't very unlucky, that would have been 6th.

Yeah this has never happened before and was almost statistically impossible.

For the record I'm bummed, but the sky has hardly fallen.

Yeah, it sucks have the 5th pick in the NBA draft...

Sure, it could have been better, but it's still a pretty damn good place to be. And there's still a month before the draft, so moves could be made. Everything will be fine.

Wooosaaaa! Wooosaaaa!

Exactly, I think he is multiplying the .357 x .26 chance(still 10%). I think he has been to the casino too many times and bets on black when red comes up 4 times.
Sorry, I thought the sarcasm there was so obvious it didn't need a smiley.

I was wondering, next time :p.

Edit: I can't read your tone of voice over the internet, no one can, that's why misunderstandings are so easy to happen over the internet.

Right, but the statement itself was so ludicrous it had to be false (5 was actually one of the higher probabilities even if the combined odds favored a better pick). Also I thought my thoughts on curse-talk were well on the record but that doesn't mean squat on a high traffic day.

As disappointed as I am to not have at least landed a top 4 pick (seriously, any pick of Wall, Turner, Cousins, or Favors, and I would have been really happy), the fact we still have a franchise player in Tyreke lessens the pain. I hope we get lucky/trade up a pick at least.

We had the same thing happen to us last year and still got the best player. Who cares that we didn't get Wall, he wouldn't have fit with Reke real well anyway. 5th isn't that bad. Who knows, maybe we can trade the pick now?

"Lone gunman" could be his new nickname.

Ohhh man, this feels really gloomy. How do you get royaly screwed in the draft lottery 2 years in a row? When your name is the Sacramento Kings.

Probability showed that we were most likely to end up with the #5 pick. That's what we got. How is that cursed?

Last year, we get the #4 pick and end up with the best player in the draft. Perhaps, he is the best player to come into the league in years. How is that cursed?

who wouldnt want to come to a team with a front line of Spencer Hawes and Cole Aldrich??:eek::eek::eek:
We're NOT taking Cole freaking Aldrich at #5! Don Nelson or Larry Bird probably take him later, though. If we HAVE to use the pick and don't get any good offers trade-wise, I could see us taking the best available SG to solidify the backcourt...rather than gamble on someone with 'potential' like Whiteside.

edit: come to think of it, Aldrich probably will go #9 to Utah, he seems like a Jerry Sloan type of player.

People said the same thing last year. I don't think we're cursed. I think Petrie will find something of value...

The curse ended IMHO the day Tyreke Evans secured the 20/5/5 and it was proven again when he got ROY. Getting the #5 pick means we'll get a very talented player...and we're still heading in the right direction.

GO KINGS!!!

I'm with you on this. Now that our spot is set GP and staff will get to work. There are a lot of options and I'm looking forward to seeing it all develop. I'm sorry we didn't get lucky but we ended up where the odds said we would. When I say 'lots of options' I'm not just talking about our No. 5 spot.
