It's official: Sleep Train Arena

Why? I mean, hey, I hate the Maloofs as much as the next guy around here, but what's so wrong with this? They're a local company, they have other major name sponsorships, indicating that they can actually PAY the bill (unlike the previous sponsor), they don't sell fake products (unlike the previous sponsor)...what's not to like?

Totally and completely agree. It doesn't surprise me, though, that the most common reaction is snarky sarcasm. I think it's at the point where nothing that MSE does is going to be met with anything but disdain or disgust.

I'm glad PBP is gone, replaced by Sleep Train Arena. I like the train logo...and immediately thought of L Train.

Ummm...nothing is as bad as Power freaking Balance was. At least Sleep Train is reputable...and their checks will clear.

I am happy about this. A reputable company puts it's name on the building? That is much more important than the name IMO.

The hard part: Instead of calling Power Balance Pavilion "Arco Arena", I will have to get used to calling Sleep Train Arena "Arco Arena". Will take come adjustment...

There's a grand total of one joke, it's not very clever, and we've already heard it. I'm sure it will be completely played out by the time the season starts.

Not great, but:

Sleep Train Arena, your ticket to a restless nights sleep.

Sleep Train Arena, your ticket to leave in the third quarter.

Sleep Train Arena, your ticket to a snore of a game.

Sleep Train Arena; at least it's not Power Balance.

It's not particularly bad, it's just very small potatoes. Our bar has been set so low that many people will applaud just the fact that the arena doesn't fall down on itself.

Sounds good to me, I'm all for the thematic Ozzy...anything is better than the constant night club music they've been playing DURING games...annoying!
