Is Jimmer in Smart's Doghouse?

BTW - I think the D+ grade he got was a little harsh.

That depends on the starting point for the grader. On this board, Brick tends to grade an F for zero contribution and every positive contribution skews it upward. I can't speak for Baja. The D+ makes sense in that context.

C'mon man dont backhand Anderson like that me and you both know he is a baller.

Anderson is the second best stretch four in the game, and is on his way to surpassing Mr. Nowitzki for the top spot. He is also a lousy defender. The Kings problems are almost all on the defensive side of the court. I really don't think you can pair Anderson with Cousins without three stalwart defenders in the backcourt and play winning basketball.

For around 8.5M a year would you turn down adding Anderson to the roster?

Jealous much? The long-time King fans who resent Jimmer because of the pub he received in college is amazing.

Despite a Rondo-less Celtics tearing the Kings up from start to finish, Jimmer was the only player with a positive +/- It was 10! Brooks? Did you watch the 2nd quarter much less the whole game? Recurring theme throughout the season, the team players better with Jimmer on the floor.

Above all it's more than Jimmer. It's having the best lineup on the floor. If you watched all of the games with your eyes open, you would see that. If you want the same old crappy Kings enjoy the show!

Long-time PLAYER fans who think their guy is all that and a bag of chips based on past performance is also amazing.

We do watch the games with our eyes open, even though at times we feel like jabbing forks into them. We have for years. We're KINGS fans and over the past 10 years we've watched our beloved team sink into a cesspool of mediocrity, only to find out things could and would get worse. We're now watching them wallow in the sludge at the very bottom of the barrel and yet we're still here.

Do we want the same old crappy Kings? Sure! It's what we live for. Watching every year after the draft as a new crop of fanboys shows up and proceeds to educate us as to the limitless potential of their guy because we can't see it for ourselves.

Jimmer has potential and I like him. I don't like having one or another of you act as though any criticism of him is totally unfounded and biased. Jimmer is getting better but he's now a little fish in a very big pond. His skills in college won't serve him the same way here in the NBA unless he learns to adapt. For most of last year, he looked like a deer in the headlights. That's gone and he's showing a little more confidence, but his best days are still ahead of him.

Do I think he's being used properly? Nope, but the same holds true for EVERY other member of the team. I cannot name even one instance where I think a player is being used to his full advantage (or not used if he just doesn't contribute on a consistent basis).

We're not jealous of Jimmer. We've seen players like Jimmer come and go. And luckily, when they go, MOST of the players fan go with them so they can complain at the next stop.

To most rosters? No. He's a bargain at that price. He rebounds well, and as I said, he's the second best stretch four in the league.

Do I play him next to Cousins? Nope. Not unless I can get three AMAZING backcourt defenders. That means he would be an 8.5 million super sixth man. That's too much money to pay for a guy who I only play 25 minutes a night.
