Is Jerome James that good? or are we that bad in interior D

I also think he is the key to the series. If we shut him down then we have a very good chance of winning with Lewis struggling.

i DON'T think james is the key. i DO think the play of daniels and lewis are. allen is gonna get his, but if we allow daniels to beat us to the paint that spells trouble. if we allow lewis to post up on a block and give him all day to shoot we are in trouble. all we have to do is box him out because the putbacks he's getting will cost us big time.

the key is stepping out on their guards and not letting them come off those screens that give em wide open lanes to the paint

Daniels and Lewis are struggling and thats why we should focus on James a little more as well as keeping Daniels and Lewis in a funk. If we hold James to under 10 pts and get him in foul trouble early that will help us a lot. The guy is a rebounding machine... always in the right spot for the offensive board.

i do think it's a combo of both.

james has done a great job so far in the series, but some of the time, we've been guarding him with kenny thomas and corliss. that is not smart at ALL. also brad just coming back has been limiting the rebounding. but i have seen a few occasions where james has just mauled brad, ripped the ball out of his hands. he's just so much stronger then brad, it's kinda tough.

that being said, there is a reason he's a what, 4 points per game scorer ( whatever it is) but he has played well this series, no denying that. still, he's been traveling like theres no tommorrow, but the kings have gotten away with a few themselves, so i guess i can't complain.

i still want to see tag glued to james when brad is on the bench.

peja all the way. man he has been awesome defensively. he was in front of him all night last night, didn't allow him to get free. that was awesome. he hasn't been a factor in this series, and that has to continue if the kings want to tie and possibly win this series when you factor in how well james has been playing.

I don't understand how James is NOT the key to this series. He is playing out of his mind, and we have no answer for him. Allen is not the key to this series, because you let him get his and try to contain the role players. Like with the Lakers a few years back, you just hope to contain Kobe and Shaq, and force their role players to beat you. We are doing a fine job of containing Allen and Lewis, but we are letting a role player like James beat us. Shutting him down puts more pressure on the shoulders of their stars, who lack playoff experience, and will hopefully crumble under the pressure.

James collected a lot of offensive rebounds and put-backs. He was very active under the basket. He did more. I have never seen a "4-pt/game player" that could sink a running tear drop shot, then a mini Kareem sky-hook. He has been lucky, or he is not as bad as some of you are insisting.

I think he's just trying to show RA what he's missing. Against anyone else he would not be as good. I never believed that garbage bag story anyway. It doesn't even sound like RA. So much for his class, if he really was he would have told the true story instead of letting people feel sorry for him and thinking he got shafted. he was overweight and out of shape. Kings did what they needed to do.

Adelman recently stated in a local interview that after he determines who is effective against the sonics, he will tighten-up the rotation to about seven players. Well, he may have made some tentative decisions based on the Friday night game.

I am sure that Rick Adelman will play the guys that won game-three at ARCO Arena. Getting back to the Ostertag question, I suspect that Gregg Ostertag will only get playing-time if something really bad happens and the Kings fall behind by 15 points.

Hopefully Bibby and Peja will be prepared to play 44 minutes or so.
