Is it just me or are the "Insiders" idiots?

I am not sure if they have opposing views just as a conversation topic with the callers, but some of their views on the status of the Kings are warped..

----Get rid of Mobley, and Miller and go after a "Spreewell" type player?

----Getting Brad Miller was the start of the Kings downfall? May I ask who will play center if we got rid of Brad, and why is he not helpful to the Kings?

Are the insiders idiots, or are they just joking with us lol..

I haven't read either of those statements yet. Where have they said that?

Insiders of what ?

Most people who claim to be "inside" of anything are usually completely out of their minds IMO.

See Chad Ford.

They were talkign about it today... Another stupid thing they said today was when they were talkng about the 1999-2000 team, and they were talking about the starters then saying now that only Peja remains from that starting unit.. Webber, Vlade, PEJA, Williams, and CHRISTIE! TAW was the SG that year, and Williamson was the SF..

Well at least they got 3 right, but come on.. They are idiots. They are on the radio to talk Kings, and they don't have a clue about the team!!!

It is almost like listening to a bandwagon Kings fan program.. Most of the people that call know about as much as they do. It's like they became Kings fans yesterday, and know nothing about the history of the team, or how their offense works.

Ah, I see. I was wondering where there latest fit of lunacy came from.

^piksi! LOL!! :D

I agree...The Insiders are idiots. I hardly ever listen to them cause they never seem to know what they're talking about. Them saying that Brad was the start of the downfall is just more proof of how much they don't know about the Kings (or perhaps any sport). They're there just to entertain.

They are idiots and as I said before I am usually laughing so hard at their comments an fighting between them. It's good comedy and nothing else.

I am waiting for a caller to put them in their place. But the callers to this show are as clueless as they are! I am glad I am usually working when their show is on or I would be calling in asking if they have taken their brain medicine :)

AND the callers have to get by screeners, who list all the calls and the gist of their takes on a display for them to choose from.

I dont wan't get jumped on for agreeing a little with the take about Miller, but there is some credence to it. It isn't just Miller though. It is more of the offseason in which they traded for Miller that has been a bit of a downfall. First of all, I am a big Miller fan and I think he is a crucial piece of the current Kings squad.

However, the moves made in the 2003 offseason changed the style and complexion of the team. Several factors led to this including Chris' knee injury, the trade for Miller, and the subsequent losses of Jim Jackson/Hedo Turkoglu/Scot Pollard. In essence these changes made the Kings a much weaker defensive team as shown by their increasing points allowed per game(95.9, 97, 95.2, 97.8, 100.7). Now there have been officiating changes in the rules allowing more scoring, but the point differential has also suffered(5.8, 7.6, 6.5, 5, 2.4).

Last season there is no way the Kings get off to the start they did without Miller replacing Webber. The problem is that with the frontcourt of Peja, Chris(post-injury), and Brad couldn't play the help defense because each of them is too slow and none block shots. This is another reason the Webber trade was made because even though the team is arguably worse now, they need to rebuild into a different type of team. The question is how they adjust for the defensive liabilities that they currently suffer from.

I used to really love the show when Dana Jacobsen ran it. Never missed it. I also liked Scot howard Cooper. But, this Monty character is a real jerk. I can't stand listening to the show anymore. He is so loud and abrasive that the show has become unlistenable. He talks over everybody. The other hosts on the show can't get a word in without being interupted by Monty giving one of his lame opinions. Not to mention that he says something and then when called on it he says he never said that. I no longer listen because I can't stomach him. It's kind of like that guy who went into seizures whenever he heard Mary Hart's voice from that ET (entertainment tonight ) show. Same thing here.

You have to start wondering when someone mentiones Miller signing being the downfall of the Kings. He is such a warrior and fighter - really nothing convinces me that he is bad for this team.

they call themselves insiders because the claim to study the game of basketball. Now with us we study Kings basketball and talk about what needs to be done and what was done each and everyday here. I would not hesitate to say that we are Kings insiders and actually know what is best for our team.

That guy was Kramer on Seinfeld.

I remember that particular show but it was being spoofed from a real life incident with a man who had seizures from Mary Harts voice. Sort of like Kramers lawyer, "Jacky something or other" who was a spoof of Johnny Cochran.

Of course this raises the question what is an insider? Typiclay we think of them as people connected to or directly involved with the inner workings of the team, or what ever establishment they claim to be inside. But to get "real inside" information you have to be trusted and once that information starts to hit the media the establishment usualy trurns leaky insiders into outsiders. So more often than not peopel who claim to have inside knowlage are usualy either bland spokespersons givngin the company line or psudo journalist who operate on tips both good and bad, guess work and assumptions. What makes this worse in sports is that that hot storoies have very short shelf life so there is constant presure for new angles that quite frankly often times just are not there.
