I hear a lot of jaded people on this forum: quick to complain and slow to appreciate a player's contributions. IT can start for the Kings. Maybe he can't break into the Clippers or Heats starting line-up but the Kings are a different story. His defense is completely under rated by a lot of people. He competed agains Wall and Irving, the next superstars and gave them a run for their money. IT is the quickest player on the Kings roster and has the biggest hop. Sure he is short, but what is your point? The heart of the lion needs to unleashed to light a fire under the large number of players on the team who are underachievers.
Did you see the replay of the lay-up Iasiah made off the top of the backboard? That is a new one on me. Barrarea had 22 points last night. Spud Webb won the slam dunk contest one year. Skilled small guys can make it in the NBA with great quickness. Thornton plays much bigger than his size inside because he is quick with the ball and jumping ability.
Try and be a little more positive people. I am new to this forum but have been involved in the sport for over 50 years. I started my career playing against black kids for money on the playground outside Wash DC. Iasiah plays like he did too, except it was Tacoma, WA.

We know IT is good, that's why the question has been asked, is he a long term starter?
Spud Webb played several years in Sac and was a fan favorite. We didn't win **** with him though.
I think IT could be our guy if we were locked in in other areas but he's probably another Spud here. NOW, if he went to a Dallas/Miami/LA team he could be the JJ Barea.
Believe it or not, this is the most positive forum around. A lot of people ARE positive about IT, but they're also afraid to get their hopes up too high. We Kings fans have been down that road all too many times. There are others who may play the devil's advocate just to stimulate the conversation.
From what I've seen - and believe me I've seen a lot of posts over the years - the outlook on IT is positive. Pointing out what people may think are his shortcomings will only make it easier for them to be refuted if/when he continues to shine, which I believe he will do.
Oh, and BTW? Welcome to the board. Glad to have you here. Pull up a chair, sit down and get comfortable. It's looking to be a very interesting second half.

And his brains. If things keep going like they're goin then I would expect to see IT start directing traffic more out there. I'm already seeing some of that.
I sure wouldn't mind seeing more of Greene, as opposed to Garcia, but when he gets in there he's got to really go all out with his defense and get some rebounds. I don't like Garcia's decisons with the ball, but I never see him loaf on D. Maybe that's the message coach wants to send.
PS Is this Salmons' injury for real, or is he just miffed he's not getting the pt?
