I'm doomed

My take on Jack is you have one slick promoter/actor/stuntman (Knoxville) Shamelessly making bucks off of some morons who will do anything on a dare. Ever notice Knoxville rarely does any of the truely stupid stunts like getting a tatto while four wheling, and almost always does the clever fun stuff, such as rental car destruction derby?

You have a point, but craziness is relative. Knoxville has been shot in the gut by a pelletbag (was also tazered, pepper sprayed, and stun gunned), been turned upside down in a port-o-potty, broke his foot trying to jump a flood canal, and let Butterbean knock him out. It's pretty bad when that's considered the easy stuff. I think it's because Steve-O and Pontius are insane. They laugh way too much in the face of incredibly dangerous stuff.

Steve-O has bungeed off an insanely high bridge, been cracked by a bullwhip, snorted wasabi, stuck his hand in a glove full of bullet ants, and shaved every hair off his body including brows. Pontius has wrestled alligators, taken a cookie off the head of a Eastern diamondback (probably the most foolish stunt in Jackass/Wild Boyz history), taken electro stimulation to the privates (still not as bad as the gooch...), and also stuck his hand in a glove full of bullet ants.

Good point.

I can usually only make it through an episode of Jackass with very selective viewing because the other "jackasses" just don't interest me.

Knoxville, however, has intrigued me since I first read an interview several years back. He seems to be a lot more on the ball than the other castmates.

They have a regular cast on that show? I thought it was like the idiot's version of America's Funniest Home Videos... which, considering the mentality of some of the people who submit things to AFHV, would be saying something.

:D

Not only do they have a cast, but they've also spawned two spin-offs.

Spin off? Jack ***? I have at least one extremely witty and clever comment I could make, but this is a PG board.

;)

Knoxville is not only the producer/exuctive producer and writer of Jackass, but also has a modest actign career in such notable films as Walking Tall and Men In Black... his filmography is prety impressive actualy.

Psst...wann know a secret? There are days when I actually enjoy watching the Jerry Springer show as well...hehehe...specially when I'm having a BF. ;)

Ive seen only about 2 shows in total. The first one was when Knoxville took billiard balls dropped from a 2 story building onto his privates. It still hurts....

Thinning the herd would be appropiate regarding the people on that show.....

You've now got Jackass and the spinoffs, Wild Boyz and Viva La Bam.

The 5 particulars from Jackass are Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius as Party Boy, Wee Man and Bam Margera. They have a small crew of others with recurrent roles on the three shows. Wild Boyz features Steve-O, Pontius, and cameos of Wee Man and Knoxville. Viva La Bam centers around Bam and his weird family and friends.

Gargy - I've worried about you for a long time, because of your fondness for the wrong basketball team. Now, however, I have to admit to being even more concerned.

You not only watch Jackass and the spinoffs, but you actually know all the cast members?

I think there's even more stuff in the air in your part of the state than you realize and I think it's being put there on purpose.

;)

So, you're gonna start watching right? Take that next step! ;)

No. It doesn't help the addiction at all. Now I get to figure out which ones are actors and which ones, if any, are real.

If the people I'm seeing are actors, I have a good idea why they're struggling.

I mean, really. The gene pool is apparently in drastic need of more chlorine.

;)

I was recently told that Jerry Springer finally confessed that all of the people on the show are actors, but that the situations are based on "letters sent in by real people." Don't know if that helps your addiction...if not, enjoy the drama. :)

They're all actors?

Addiction over.

I do have certain standards about my reality TV...

...

Apparently I now have an opening for a new part-time TV addiction. Jackass? When is it on and what channel???

Its on MTV/MTV2.

But, unfortunately, since they aren't actually making new shows, its just on when its on. MTV will go long stretches without showing it, then its on for about a month solid.

I am by no means an MTV afficianado. In fact, I hate MTV.

So tonight, I had to actually search my dish to find the two channels. I go there and see...

Claymation figurines kick-boxing?

I am sooooooooooo old.
