I survived a 17-win season as a Kings fan...I will survive this close loses too

But the vet minimum to let KT know we appreciate him for being the professional he has been...

Well, I disagree there. We shouldn't throw a contract at KT out of some sense of gratitude.

But, if there are no clearly better options, throwing a min contract at him to act as known bench fodder would be totally fine with me.

Lots of frustration again on a young team that almost won the game against the reigning MVP....But let's be patient folks...so I'm bringing this thread back!!

Good idea. It's still relevant. I think most fans appreciate the positives that came out of the loss to the Cavaliers. It's amazing to me that we're even talking about an OT loss to Lebron and company. Who really would have even dared to dream that last year????

how many losses have we had this season where it came down to inexperience/last 4 minute lapses...?

this is what you expect from a young team. they are learning and will only get better because of all these close situations.

I don't know offhand and, quite frankly, I'm not that obsessed with that particular statstic. What I'm seeing with my own eyes - and not just numbers on paper - is that this YOUNG team is giving it their all every single night. They're playing competitive exciting basketball. Along the way, of course they're making mistakes. But they're learning from them, not in small part because their coach is a coach and not some prima dona just fixated on the W-L record.

And, as I've pointed out in another thread and Kingsguy881 has pointed out above, isn't the fact you haven't changed your signature a mistake? Since you're still trying to promote who Petrie should pick in the 2009 draft, which is over BTW in case you didn't get the news, isn't that a lapse in something? Should I disregard all your posts because your signature is outdated?

Just sayin...

:p

Sorry for my rant. I was fuming over the way the Sacramento Bee treated last night's game and took it out of you, a poor innocent bystander.

:o

its cool

I agree with you though, we're a young team and im ecstatic just because we CAN stick in there for the most part. Look part before the season began...w/o Cisco and Martin...we have a really really bad team on paper, but look at the way were performing...its because of the play of Evans/Casspi who seem to have also rubbed off on their team mate

I agree, and the attitude/influence of Paul Westphal cannot be overlooked. It's clear that he has got the entire team on board with his vision of the team and by the way they quote him, it's obvious they're seeing it and listening to him.

Westphal has their backs.....it's why he got that technical last night. Those guys are willing to go to war for him because he is going to support them and encourage them every step of the way. It's hard to not like to play for a guy like Westphal.
