I need advices Kings Tickets

Hi everyone !

First of all, I'm not sure I'm posting in the good forum : moderators please move the post if it's not adapted.

The thing is that I will be in Sacramento area by the end of March 2007. It will be my very first trip to the U.S. (I'm from France) and I'm very excited : being a NBA and Kings fan for years, I can't wait for finally attending a real game ! :)
It will be either Kings-Clippers or Kings-Mavs.

I need some advices for game tickets :
- I know that single game tickets will be on sale October 14 on Kings.com but is there any way to buy cheaper tickets ?
- Could you tell me which sections/rows are good ?
- Can I have a good seat for about 70 $ ?

Thank in advance,
Flopi

Flopi - I'll leave this here for now. I'll tell you - your chances of getting a Kings-Mavs ticket are much lower than a Kings-Clippers ticket. But that's right now. Anything could happen by March.

If you're looking for a single ticket, you probably will be able to find something. No guarantees, of course, but singles are easier to get than multiples sometimes. As far as what sections/rows are good, almost all the seats in Arco are good.

Keep in touch. We look forward to hearing about your first NBA game!!!

I've sat in the very last row several times and most of them are just fine. Get what you can, the only thing you might not be able to see is the separate lightboard that keeps track of things like team steals, rebounds, etc. Don't worry, you should be looking at the floor, anyways. :)

There's hardly a bad seat in Arco. I've sat in the last row and had no problem seeing the game. That isn't true for all arenas.

As for getting tix, watch sacramento.craigslist.com in the tickets section. You can go to any game you want to as long as you're willing to spend the money. I'm sure you'll be able to get an upper level Kings-Mav ticket for less than $50 (face value $25.50). You may want to get a local to help you with craigslist buying. Meet the seller in a public place like a mall or coffee shop, not at a private residence.

You can probably buy some online too soon, although I don't know what the restrictions are for international buyers. Check the kings.com site.

As for Clippers or Mavs, why not both? It's going to be a while before you see the Kings in France.

Also, there's a trick to buying low priced tix on online system. You've got to set a low maximum price - like $30. Otherwise it gives you the most expensive tix it can find.

There are even standing tix (no seat) that cost like $12. They're a bargain for the price and have a decent view.

Why? I kind of like knowing where the guy lives... and having him know I know where he lives...

I'll go to a home if I know the neighborhood and trust the seller, especially if they're season tix. But for someone visiting from France who doesn't know Sac at all I think it's better to play it conservative.

Guys - Flopi is coming from France. Let's not make him deal with things like craigslist, etc. That can get very confusing for Americans, let alone visitors to our shores.

Once he gets here, we might even have a board member willing to help him find a decent ticket.

:)

OK guys, thanks for all the answers ! :)

But i'm a little confused :
My first idea was to buy tickets online on kings.com. I thought it was the easiest way.
But, as I understand it, you're advising me to buy tickets from season tickets holders...
Is it really that cheaper ?
Did I misunderstand anything ?

VF21 : be sure you will hear and watch about my first NBA & Kings game !!! I already have bought a new memory card for my camera :D
By the way, which is the best way to take pictures with the Kings players ?

bibbinator : unfortunatelly, I have to make a choice between Clippers and Mavs. I will be in Sacramento only a couple of days. Plus, i'm looking for also attending the Warriors - Spurs game (hey, there will be Mickael Pietrus & Tony Parker :D )

I know it's early but i'm so impatient :D

Thanks,
Flopi

Hey Flopi - it's not cheaper, but the seat choices are better.

If your budget increases and you can afford $230/pair, I will sell you my Clipper tickets (although they are not listed for sale to anyone else in the world... for this nice Friday night game against a probable playoff team).

Pretty good seats.. $230/pair is face value. Check a seating chart for Section 113, row P, seat 17&18

http://www.arcoarena.com/default.asp?lnopt=2&pnopt=2

PM me if interested.

These tix are only to sale to guys from France going to their first NBA game - not the rest of y'all.... I'd like to attend this game myself :-)

This is really nice and be sure I appreciate. Unfortunatelly, my cousin (who will come with me) and I really can't increase our budget.
Thanks a lot for having proposed :)

If you want to be absolutely sure you have tickets, then you should probably get them through kings.com Your chances of Clipper tickets are probably better than Mavericks tickets but that's up to you. If you CAN'T get tickets that way, then your best bet is to post here. We'll help you get the word out.

Just being in Arco is an experience you'll never forget. I actually prefer the upper seats because the fans just seem to be louder and more into the game.

As far as taking pictures with the players, you might want to start a thread in the main forum and ask for tips, but not right now. It's a little too early for that. ;)

Hi everyone !

Here some fresh news : I finally bought on kings.com two 20$ tickets for Kings-Mavs (April 3th).

I will be upstairs (section 217) but it was easier that way.

I can't wait for experiencing the Arco Thunder and attending my very first NBA game :)

Thanks for your advices !
