am i reading the stat line correctly? did peja have 13 rebounds? if so this is worthy of a thread of its own......

Yeah, but the one thing I liked is that it was a fun game to watch. The Big three look bigger lately, and the roleplayers are doing their jobs. Good game, I'm sorry you missed it.

Yup, Peja was hustling around a lot tonight

Best rebounding game since a win vs. the Bobcats in November last season where he had 12.

Piksi's job is to keep us honest. :D
Eh, I don't need piksi to remind me how bad our record is; I can see how we're still in last place just fine on my own.

But Stojakovic put in a good days' work; didn't shoot well, but he came to play ball.

I'm closing this thread, but only because I think Peja's performance is being discussed pretty well in both the game thread and the grades thread.

:D

Okay, never mind...

I'm not gonna close it.

Enjoy.

So he was only SP tonight... not BP ;)

I didn't see this game either. Regrettable. But damn, 13 boards? Career high?

Edit: 17 vs. Lakers in 2000. Hmmm... 13 might as well be a high. That was a totally different guy back then.

Damn Its Like I Knew The Game Was Against The Clippers And I Knew It Would Be On But I Totally Forgot... I Was Even Watching The Laker Game Which Was "one" Freakin Channel Over And I Missed The Game... That Hasnt Happened In I Dont Know How Long

LOL! In the sacbee artice on this game, Peja admitted it was pure luck that he got 13 boards.

A lot of NBA rebounds are "pure luck." If you watched the game, however, I don't think you'd be saying "Peja admitted" anything. Peja worked HARD in that game. He was inside hustling, doing pretty much everything he could to be a contributing factor.

If that's pure luck, I'm getting a shipment of four-leaf clovers, rabbit's feet (sorry, minions) and horseshoes ready to send Peja.

since we won - You should consider doing that more often;)

I don't see why it should be luck. Peja is tall enough to rebound but just doesn't put the effort into in most nights.

This has a definite ring of truth. And, he was sure giving us some effort last night. As VF said, "he didn't just phone it in." :p

Amen...Peja actually played defense and was aggresive back them, now he's just....just...I dunno.

Sometimes those who put in the effort seem to have the best luck. Or something like that. Props to Peja.
Props to Peja for 1 damn good game? Not from me.:( Plus he shot 6-15. His head is still somewhere else but on the basketball court as a Sacramento King.
