#1
Welcome to the belated but not forgotten Kingsfans At the Movies polls. There are two polls (Pts I/II), but that is only because of software limitations (you are only allowed to have 10 options in a poll). All 16 movies however are part of the same box office -- when voting please rememeber there are two polls wiht more options. Link to the other poll.

Here are the rules for the Kingsfans blockbuster season:

1) In Week 1 (this week) you may watch up to 5 movies (5 of the 16)
-The 10 movies doing the best will advance

2) In Week 2 you will be able to watch up to 2 movies unrestricted, AND 2 additional movies that you have not watched previously. In other words 2+2 = 4 movies, as long as 2 of the 4 are something new. All 4 movies can be something new if you'd like, but in order to get the extra 2 votes, at least 2 of them have to be new. This is to encourage people to spread their votes around and try out something new.
-The 6 movies doing the best will advance

3) In Week 3 you will be able to watch up to 2 movies unrestricted, and 1 additional movie that you have not watched previously (2+1 = 3 total).
-The 3 movies doing the best will advance

4) In Week 4 you will be able to watch 2 movies (no restrictions)

Summed up:
Week 1: 5 votes, 16 movies
Week 2: 2+2 votes, 10 movies
Week 3: 2+1 votes, 6 movies
Week 4: 2 votes, 3 movies

Note: you cannot vote for your own movie of course.

These were very difficult choices - at least 2-3 other movies I was also really wanting to vote for. Good luck to all - glad I wasn't in this one. You guys all put in some serious work and thought.

Accidentally voted for only four. Put me down for the foreign flick, Vert, Tout Vert as well. Unless I'm just SOL.

Gracias.

I can edit the poll numbers, but don't think I can put your name next to it in these public polls. Don't want to mess anything up, so I'll just wait until the end of this round + give Vert a +1. Nudge me if I forget.

A couple of people have voted for too many movies. I'm guessing it's because the voting format is pretty different from anything else we've done before and people might have just started voting before reading all the fine print...

Nope. After reading the directions, it looks like you have to spread your five possible votes between the two polls...

ok, I can remove a vote, but as mentioend earlier I cannot remove a specific poerson's vote (I don't think). And again since I do not want to mess up the poll, I would rather not dicker with the numbers midstream. Will correct things at the end. So far: vert = +1; weave = -1, will have to check for the rest

When is the deadline for the first round?

was not sure how much response, or how quick the response would be wiht the lengthy delay before the polls went up

While it would be neat and appropriate, for the sake of any possible draft to follow this one, probably better not to make "weeks" actual weeks. As is, 22 respondents in the first Day+, but none in he last 5-6 hours at least. So probably going to do this like cooking popcorn -- the big rush is over, and once the kernels slow down to only one every few seconds, time to call it quits. Maybe Thurs, maybe Fri? Wahtever it is, I'll make the later rounds the same length.

Polls are closed!

I'll make the adjustemnets for the voting mistakes (too many movies picked, ryan's missed click, people voting for themselves) and get the Rnd 2 thread up in a few.
