Unfortunately I do not believe Ratliff can be traded for a while, at least not until after Kandi would probably sign somewhere.

More importantly, why would Boston do such a thing?

Maybe I missed something but I remember a few weeks ago Petrie had a meeting with Olowakandi's agent. Not sure If he signed with someone else but I know the Kings were interested and I'm sure we could get him on the cheap if we wanted.....that is the big question.

Isn't kand a free agent? couldn't we just sign him. I actually dont think he's THAT bad, if you pretend that he wasn't the first overall pick and you forget about all the unrealized potential then you've got a pretty decent backup. He could fill the lane, possibly take on an "enforcer" role that doesn't involve post d, or shot blocking.

ALso we'd be able to say that we have the top two picks from the 98' (i think) draft that be gggggggggrrrrrrrreeeeeeeaaaaaaaaatttttttttttt.

He isn't that bad. He turned out to be a bust, but in reality isn't a horrible, useless stiff/big-man like most seem to think. The guy is very big, long, can block shots and rebound, score around the basket a bit.

He's a decent big-man. I'd be perfectly fine with getting him.

ok im gonna give you all some credit here but are you speaking of Michael Olowokandi ??? cause if you are your bringing in a guy whos team mates have all hated... a guy that still believes he is a stud big man who doesnt have to work to be a stud... a guy whos off court issues also get in the way... fights with coaches straight up... and really is just never going to make it in the NBA... people might still give him more chances crossing their fingers and with the hope that he mignt wanna change ... but this guy is JUST A FREAK'N BUM ... i would rather have an active Kenny Thomas vs low life bum... and i dont even like Kenny Thomas ...

He's been quiet for awhile now, from what I've gathered. I still like him as a decent back-up big option for us, that would help with what is needed in the front-court.

Interesting, just in that Kandi is still out there (for a reason). Maybe he could be had with the LLE...

things are:

1) even the LLE puts us over the cap limit, so not sure if we go there
2) Its Michael Olowokandi.

But on the latter point, while he might be lookign for an MLE, those days are likely done for him. At the LLE level though, a desperate team could sign him just on the used to be somebody theory. Has more pedigree than most guys at that level.

Bonzi is still out there by his own choice. Kandi is still out there because he's no longer considered a first or even second tier option.

My understanding is that Kandi has been a bit of a cancer in Minnesota. Bad attitude about playnig time, etc. The Kings don't need any of that nonsense.
