Old is when you watched Nate Tiny Archibald play… but not to take away from the joys of watching JWill weave that magic.
Your older than Keith Richards!Ahem! I sat in the stands in St. Louis watching my then St. Louis Hawks play the likes of Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson. My hero back then was Bob Pettit. Please don't tell me about feeling old.
Good thing we can't see join dates on here, that would make some of us feel ancient.

Oh yeah the other day I was playing basketball and my shoes were older than some of the players. I asked them if they knew who he was and they told me "The coach of the Nets??"![]()
As if the hesitation move wasn't enough, he finishes with the floater off the high backboard over a fully extended 6'8 help defender. I really miss those jerseys.
Damn I’m old and I don’t remember watching Robertson play….We are all getting old. I remember watching Oscar Robertson play. The Big O. I think he once averaged a triple double for the season.
White Chocolate was a blast to watch. Every team needs some flamboyance. Pete Maravich, Larry Bird, the short guy from Washington.
Oscar spent most of his career with the Cincinnati Royals, and they were hardly ever on TV. I was a Royals fan living in Columbus, and I only remember seeing them once or twice. Remember that this was a time when there was frequently only one NBA game per week on TV, Oscar won a championship in Milwaukee at the end of his career playing with Kareem. That was the only time I saw him on TV a lot.Damn I’m old and I don’t remember watching Robertson play….
We can't? Maybe it's just mods. I won't tell.

I remember being in college in SC and watching March Madness in the basement of the dorms with a couple 100 students. With just under 5 seconds left in the game, an upstart Cal team gave the ball to their PG (Jason Kidd) who went the length of the floor to score as time expired and knock the heavily favored Duke team (Bobby Hurley, Grant Hill) out of the tournament. I was one of the few cheering for Cal. I hated Duke (their fans were the more arrogant around.
I was in Greenville, SC. Right in the middle of ACC & SEC country at the time.Just curious, when you say SC do you mean Santa Cruz (I'd expect a bunch of Cal fans there) or South Carolina (I guess maybe I'd expect more Duke fans there?) or Southern California (grab bag of fans I guess)?
