Rondo in post game said its not the coaches.
He's partly right his defense is some of the worst you will ever see all he does is reach and flop causing the whole defense to play 4 on 5. Karl should be fired and we should clean the roster and build around WCS and whatever we can get back. We got to many guys who are happy to get there stats and lose and a coach who doesn't even want to be here.

I don't think I'd ever move Cousins. It's way too difficult to find a player of his caliber. I'm okay in moving on from Rondo and Gay because I don't see them as ideal fits around Cousins, but again, you have to be careful about the talent you are giving up.

Ideally, I'd like to make a trade for Teague in the offseason (scorer, playmaker, 3pt shooter, and improved defender). I think he would be a terrific PG fit with Cousins and the Hawks are willing to move him (maybe Collison & McLemore for Teague gets it done). Then we look to move Gay for T. Evans and use FA to find some 3 and D wings to start at SG & SF (Bazemore, Crabbe, C. Lee, H. Barnes, Batum)

I would gladly take Mike Conley if possible or trade for Kris Dunn...either one would make me very happy.

I'd love Conley too, but he will be heavily pursued this offseason and will likely command $20 mil or more a year. Teague is on a similar level as Conley, but trading for Teague would allow us to keep a lot of our cap space and spend our cap space on another position of need.

As for Kris Dunn, I love his game, but I'd be worried having a rookie PG start for us during an era where we should be competing.

I'd rather have a high-quality scoring SG with a slash-first mindset + ball-handling and then an average or below average PG with a 3pt shot

I'm not exactly sure who you are referencing here, but I suggested acquiring both Teague & Evans.

Going by what's doable in trades and who is available in FA, this is the type of team I would like to see around Cousins. Everyone in the starting lineup is a good defender with all 3 perimeter players being good 3pt shooters to help space the floor for Cousins. You have Batum & Teague as secondary scorers to help shoulder the load. Then you have Evans & Anderson off the bench which would probably be the best 6th & 7th man combo in the league. Add Thibs to this team, and you see how far Cousins can take you.

PG - Teague (32 min)/Evans (16 min)/Curry
SG - Bazemore (30 min)/Evans (18 min)
SF - Batum (34 min)/Casspi (14 min)
PF - Cauley-Stein (21 min)/R. Anderson (27 min)
C - Cousins (37 min)/Cauley-Stein (11 min)/Aldrich

Cousins - 37 min
Batum - 34 min
Evans - 34 min
Teague - 32 min
Cauley-Stein - 32 min
Bazemore - 30 min
Anderson - 27 min
Casspi - 14 min

The coaching scheme should fit the roster, however they need a coach locked up long term to make things fit. Right now we are dealing with an aging coach that wasn't hired by our current GM, and we aren't sure if our current GM will be there long term. So first thing is they need a long term GM, then pick a coach, then go from there.

With that being said, Karl's system doesn't fit right now. They went out to get Rondo because he fits Karl's dribble drive offense. But what that does is put Cousins, one of the league's best interior players, out on the perimeter for picks and having the guards create the offense instead of a triangle or Princeton offense where you can use your big men to facilitate.

So, how to fix:

1. Lock up GM.
2. Get long term coach picked by GM.
3. Get scheme and roster to fit each other.

I have seen some state that Vlade is "in over his head" or "may not be re-signed" for next season.

I just want to go on record that if Vlade is let go for any reason other than he wants to leave, that will be the last straw for me.

While it may be true Vlade is a little green as a GM, they knew that when they hired him. He deserves 3-5 years to grow into the position and work his special skills.

We need some stability and Vlade has proven to be the man for the job. He has the potential to be a truly great GM. Vivek better not give up on him.
