I love the color, obviously, but there are league rules about how many teams can have black, and I don't think it's our turn yet. VF is the expert on this, though.

I think constant changing of NBA jersey's has gotten out of hand. And I know the reason teams do it - one word - marketing $$. I have no problem at all with the current Kings road and home jersey's although I might switch "Sacramento" (home) and "Kings" (road). I think VF21 has pointed out any change has to be approved by the NBA and the black jersey thing for Kings is a no go at this time.

I agree to a certain extent. I think having one alternate jersey is fine.
Teams like the Cavs rockin 6 or 7 different jerseys throughout the year is ridiculous though.
The last I heard, the league was at least receptive to the Kings having a return to black ... jerseys are designed a year ahead of time, so if they submit a new color scheme this year it might be approved for next year.
That's very sharp. As per VF's previous reply to this thread, I'd be a very happy Kings fan if we got black alternates next year. It seems like we bring this up every year. Just no more gold, k?
If you want to voice your opinion to the Kings about bringing back the black jerseys, why not drop them an email? Send it to Kings@ArcoArena.com and tell them you're excited about the new players, the new coach and the new attitude. Tell them you think it would be great to have NEW uniforms to reflect our turnaround and new direction and that going back to purple and black would mean the fans would have a whole new look to show their support of their Kings...
