How about Brandon Bass

He's an underrated player, but do we really need the undersized-offensive minded big prototype again? I thought we were trying to deviate from that. I've heard that he has a hard time remembering plays and that's why he's been squeezed out of the rotation, but considering that he's been consistently reliable as a big who can create offense in the inside and hit jumpers on the outside, that should carve up a decent 15-22 minutes off the pine, rather than the 12 he's playing. But he's definitely not a starter, because his team defense is atrocious, and while he's decent at man-to-man he rarely makes any defensive plays. And also, the years in that contract may be concerning--I think he might be worth that money, but for that long?

I've always likened Bass to be Antione Carr 2.0...not that that's a bad thing or anything. I think if we were interested in that, we'd better do something about our logjam at the 2/3 beforehand.
