Hornets trade AD for Bobby Brown and Darius Songaila.

I admire Kahn's aggressiveness, but looking at Minny's depth chart, they need more support. Daniels, Wilkins, and pretty much their whole backup frontcourt are useless. I can see Kahn making another move - they have absolutely no scoring at the 2 and no one to backup Love/Jefferson (Ryan Hollins should be backing up the backup IMO).

This gives NO depth but not quality depth IMO. They need better bench players, not just a lot of average/below average guys. However, they made it out better, for this season at least.

I would nudge Shinn and tell him that building the shortest frontcourt in the NBA out of spare parts cast off by the worst team in the NBA isn't exactly a championship formula, but doubt he would listen.

In any case, could see Darius, who has looked absolutely done the last few years, actually thriving offensively (to whatever degree he can) in New Orleans next to CP3 the same way David West does.

It might not be such a problem if Paul really pushed the team in transition, but alas, they are one of the slowest paced teams in the league. The only thing they have going for them is the degrading low post talent in the game today.

they will be even slower now... their big men are West, Okafor and Songaila. They might need to extend the shot clock if they're going to be focal point of offense. add in the fact that they're talking about bringing pedja in off the bench, and it begs the question of who exactly is going to spread the floor in that team?

Well to be fair, Songaila and West are pretty good shooters themselves. I like the move to send Peja to the bench, this may help him find his niche in the NBA again after sucking it up since he left Sacramento. I still don't know why they traded their starting SG for cap relief though
