Hornets possible location could be SAN JOSE?

Larry Ellison has been trying to buy an NBA team for a few years now and his name is one that has came up a few times for the Hornets open ownership spot...

Although i highly doubt that this happens, would it have an affect on the kings and their fans?

Can the northern california market sustain 3 teams?

The question of whether NorCal could sustain 3 teams is legit but I don't think the Kings have to worry about a San Jose team eating up much of their support. The Warriors could take a big hit though.

Personally I ope that a deal gets worked out and the Hornets are moved to Seattle, a city where NBA basketball belongs.

San jose team would be real bad for the future of the Kings.

Why? It's far enough away that it's not exactly a competing market. It would be more of a threat for the future of the Warriors.

At any rate, since San Jose falls within the 75-mile territorial rights of the Warriors, Golden State has veto power over any franchise moving into San Jose. I don't think it's likely a team will be moving there any time soon.

It would have little effect on the Kings...but a MAJOR damaging impact on the Warriors.

New York and L.A. have two NBA teams, but I cannot imagine the S.F. Bay Area getting two NBA teams.

I think Seattle would be a more likely destination.

I'm suprised that Pittsburgh, despite its reputation for being a sports town, has never gotten an NBA franchise.

Hornets have two options: contraction or St. Louis.

Or Kansas City. Or Louisville. Or Anaheim or San Jose, pending territorial rights issues. Or Seattle or Las Vegas pending arena issues. Or Omaha. Or New Orleans. Or maybe somewhere else like Pittsburgh. You're right, I count no more than two options.
