Highpoints of the 07-08 Season

figured its time we had some optimism around here, and finish off on a high note.

1st memory- Kmart dropping 48. Thats ridiculous.

Also Brad Millers -player of the week- week.

Also Kmarts "Lets go home." Made me proud to be a Kings fan. One of the only games where Kevin just took over the 4th quarter.

more wins than last season andthe turn around year for miller, hawes starting, kevin getting to the line more, francsco getting better.garcia, johns and kevins game winners

Watching Coach Reggie maturing with volatile RonRon and Salmons and dealing with such an injury mess and still winning bunch of big games.

Seeing Beno emerge as a #1 PG, Kevin as an all-star #2, RonRon maybe growing into great team player and #1 defender in the league, Brad playing at an all star level, Cisco growing and maturing, Hawes improving daily, and in final Laker game, Douby showing us all moves, shots and abilities that were simmering there all along.

Garcia. Martin and Hawes played like they wanted to lead this team one day. But I will remember John salmons at the buzzer vs the mavs.

- Quincy Douby tearing apart the Jazz.

- Captain Jack letting us Kings fans know this season after a defeat in Sacramento that he'll be watching us from the playoffs.

How about Brad Miller?

I thought he was done, honestly, and had put him in the same category as SAR and KT prior to this season.

He had a great resurgency...playing extremely well (until his knife incident). And I'll tell you, who ever thought they'd see Miller dunk again?

uh, you did realize that our 293,425,634,453,523,423,456 game sellout streak ended this year didn't you? :D

Of course I know. The fans at the games (I was at 3, watching rest on TV) were generally FAR more into the games than last years MORGUE which had me bored sick for most of the handful of games I went to under Muss. No one can deny the team overall played harder for Reggie than that other dude.

Actually, it ended in 2006-2007 but through some clever manipulation of figures and how they define "sellout" they were able to pretend it hadn't.

Man, those numbers must have been able to look a lot of like people. Because the stands were a lot more filled in 06-07.

I'll give you that some shadiness probably went on, but the sellout streak ended at our first game of the last season. Lets leave it at that.

Hawes has better court awareness and outside shooting skills than I thought at the beginning of the season. Garcia is a leader and a keeper. Martin can definitely be an All-Star. These are the guys that will be around in three years imo - they are the core.
