Very cool picture LilCRC! Great find.
This brings up an interesting side note -- a few years ago, I found out that Nancy Lieberman had starred in a movie, about a woman basketball player who joined a men's team and lead it to the league championship. I was determined to get a copy of that. As you can imagine, this is not something you can jump on Netflix and put on your list. But with perserverance, and the help of a friend, I managed to obtain a copy. Let's just say it was not Academy Award material and let it go at that (although... now that I think about it, if there is ever need for filler at a Monarchs viewing party, this might provide some comic relief).
Anyway, during the championship series, we brought the movie to ARCO with the hopes of having Ms. Lieberman autograph it. We managed to corral her before a game, and showed it to her. She made us swear no one would ever know about the movie, so don't tell anyone, but she did sign the cover. She was pretty cool about it -- I guess she is aware that it isn't the best movie every made.
Just thought I'd share. Sorry to have missed the viewing party -- it looks like it was a bunch of fun.
